Recipes/meals are great. Fresh ingredients can be hit and miss - particularly the quality of veg. Items often arrived squashed or bruised and are packed without care. Think bread rolls packed under a... Toon meer

I have used HelloFresh many times in the past. I started during covid to inspire my change to become vegetarian and I really enjoyed the different recipes, and the knowledge it gave me moving forward. But more recently I've had an issue. I didn't realize that looking at recipes to compare with other companies would reactivate my account and be charged without verifying or proofing any recipes. When I realize what had happened. I called them immediately and was told I couldn't receive a refund as the food had already been shipped. (Thank god I hadn't moved.) Frustrating of course but I accepted, asked to be deleted and moved on. This time, I had a feedback phone call discussing new discounts with Hellofresh and I specifically stated I didn't wish for my account to be reactivated on their part and if so I would do it myself, which after my last experience I wasn't in a rush. To realize today, that they had activated my account and charged me YET AGAIN. Furious doesn't even begin to express how I felt, I am so extremely disappointed and will not be using hellofresh again.
Sharing this feedback in case this happens to anybody else moving forward.

Took money out of my account unwillingly. Customer service complications and inconsistency. I got told that my order would be cancelled but wasn’t until I had to remind again.
Deleted the app!

Several of the meals had missing key ingredients (spice pastes). I raised this with the Hello Fresh automated chat who offered a small refund. I have found it very difficult to find the ‘Skip’ an order area.

Partner wanted to try hello fresh and she did everything was good until our last box there was no notifications sent to say that our box was coming (Thursdays) we get to about 8pm and suddenly there is a email from DPD saying that there is an issue with ur delivery and it wouldn’t be coming she then contacted hello fresh and someone said that there was a problem with ur order and a full credit would be given for ur next box (NOT GOOD ENOUGH) so with a 3 year old here I had to do a shop to get some food in just seamed like hello fresh couldn’t give a monkeys about this order and as for DPD what a delivery company that is last 4-5 times she’s had the delivery from hello fresh driver just dumps box on driveway and goes avoid both these companies because it’s like they don’t give a dam only after ur money

Missing main ingredients for one of our meals.
They gave us money back when it was reported but now we have to go out and buy other ingredients to make the meal.
The meal was Jerk,coconut and Guinness with chicken breast ,rice and bell pepper...the Guinness paste was missing where do you buy that from ???

First delivery did not arrive. I was notified it would be delivered and later noticed in the app that it would not be arriving due to unforeseen circumstances. Received a refund and additional compensation payment but will probably cancel once I’ve used it

Feels like now it's been a few weeks standards are slipping.

We've had several cold callers from Hello Fresh recently. They don't take a simple no for an answer and are a pain.
Edit: Had a second cold caller the same day. Quarter to eight in the evening!
Response: Absolutely not giving Hello Fresh my details! The cold callers were doing exactly as they had been instructed. It's a hostile practice that's a nuisance and preys on people that are asked to sign up under pressure on their own doorstep to a reoccurring subscription that they then find difficult to leave. We've a lot of vulnerable older neighbours that we've had to warn about cold callers like yours pressuring them into signing up.

Food was decent - The website and customer service was not. For some reason, after multiple months of use - they struggled to take money out of my account (there was always more than enough). I then started to get threatening emails saying they would pass this to collections. This led to me having to spend the best part of two weeks trying to contact them to sort it - having got through to someone, they couldn't explain why they were having issues, the told me to contact the bank. I contacted the bank who said that the request had come through and was accepted on their side so its down to HelloFresh - I called HellFresh back up and spent a further day having a back and forth trying to figure out what was causing this issue. In the end they send me their bank details and suggested i pay this way and then reply to their email with proof it had been sent. I did this and now radio silence from them and my account still says i owe them money. I have followed back up but had no response, can someone just contact me to sort this.

Really impressed with Hello Fresh. Excellent choice of dishes each week, very user-friendly app, and great ethical considerations.
On delivery day there are regular updates so we knew exactly when to go down and collect the box. It's well packed in different areas - the non-perishable ingredients in one half and a cardboard 'freezer box' in the other side which contains all the ingredients that need to go in the fridge. The recipe cards were tucked underneath the ingredients. We were so excited to see everything that we didn't get a photo!
The recipe cards are A4 size and double sided. They're well designed and easy enough to follow. We've got a folder and plastic wallets to keep them in.
Looking forward to our next box arriving tomorrow, and this week's meals.
