Easy way to sell a car…..
The sale process is straightforward and the app that's available for photo upload works well. The original valuation was reduced slightly because of minor damage to car, which we had anticipated.
There was some confusion when it came to confirming that we would go ahead with sale because all of Motorway's emails went into 'spam' which meant that the process got delayed. We confirmed that we wanted to go ahead and then we were given an lower valuation/reserve price because according to Motorway we had passed the seven day deadline. In fact that was not true. It had been 4 days, but Motorway were clearly not going to budge and as we wanted to sell fairly quickly we felt we had no option but to go ahead at the revised figure. In fact the Motorway advisor we spoke to at this time, was very brusque in her attitude - an extremely bad advert for the company. In different circumstances we would have ended our engagement with Motorway then and there.
We then confirmed our instructions by email and the car was put forward for auction.
The auction day came and went and we achieved the full valuation price. Collection of the vehicle took a little longer than we had expected, but was achieved smoothly, with the funds being transferred into our account on the same day. We would use Motorway again, but next time we would be aware of potential pitfalls!
We were very pleased to note that the price we achieved though Motorway was actually £4,000 more than the valuation figure quoted by Motorway's main competitor!
