Troubleshooting
If your game is not responding to OKGO, you should first check that OKGO is correctly sending the controls that you think it should be. Use one of the two suggested tools.
Launch "Set up USB game controllers" from your Start menu.
Launch OK, Game On and you should see "Controller (XBOX 360 for Windows)" listed. Select "Controller (XBOX 360 for Windows)" and click "Properties". In the "Test" tab you should see controls light up when you press the buttons using OKGO.
The website https://gamepad-tester.com/ also provides a useful UI for testing gamepad controls. You may find you need to press a key such as X, Y, A, B using OKGO before it successfully detects the gamepad and its joysticks. Make sure you've selected the correct gamepad in the Player 1 / Player 2 / etc tab menu.
If the above tests show that OKGO is correctly sending the controls, then you need to check how your game is setup and listening to OKGO. Here are a few suggested things to troubleshoot
1 - Is the game set up to use the correct controller? Does your game have an option to choose the controller to use? If not, can you unplug all other controllers so there is only one?
2 - Try launching OKGO before launching your game. It isn't always necessary, but some games may "lock onto" the wrong (or absent) controller when they are launched.
3 - Make sure your game has focus. Click on it with a mouse and try OKGO controls again.
4 - Is your game in fullscreen mode? This is usually okay, but some games may need to be put into "windowed" or "fullscreen, windowed" mode to work with OKGO.
