So easy and such a good resource

It is so easy to book and is really clear. You can research your potential stays and get good information on the place and the host. And there are a lot of places to choose from for whatever mood I am in. I am so glad there is a service for the LGTBQ Community. Thanks mrb&b

Misterbnb doesn’t want honest reviews

My last review of Misterbnb documented my experience in detail. I included the booking ID and guest receipt number to make it clear that this was a genuine review from someone who actually used the service.

Despite that, Misterbnb asked Trustpilot for additional information, which put my review at risk of being removed. Trustpilot emailed me saying that if I didn’t respond within two days, the review would be deleted, exactly the outcome Misterbnb appeared to be seeking.

Even though I had already provided the relevant details, I submitted them again to ensure my review remained online. Companies that genuinely want to improve should engage with negative feedback professionally and ethically instead of looking for ways to make it disappear.

If the goal is simply to showcase glowing reviews, there are plenty of ways to achieve that. Listening to unhappy customers, however, is what actually improves a service.

I’m disappointed by Misterbnb’s response to a legitimate concern. The lack of empathy says a great deal about the company’s approach to customer feedback. It even left me wondering whether complaints from people of color are taken less seriously. I can’t say that’s what happened, but the experience certainly made me feel that way.

Please read before you book!

Fast response but they dont offer fair solutions.After spending 2 weeks in my last stay Maadi Cairo I had to leave because of the very loud dogs in the Area . Now the platform does ask you to tell the host first which I did ( My host told me he would take care of it) After my vacation was over he didn't do anything and Mr BnB could not do anything anymore. At the end they give me a voucher but you can only select (expensive options) so worthless please be aware that booking on different platform is much cheaper (less commission) keep up the good excuses 👎

Never use them


This is what I posted on the MisterB&B review…………..

I booked a two bedroom apartment, from the pictures it had two separate bedrooms, a lounge/kitchen (fully fitted with appliances) dining area.
From the pictures it looked to be on the 2nd or 3rd floor, the apartment was chosen as it was on the Boulevard du Midi, central Brussels.

On the morning of my departure I received an email giving a different address for the apartment, with instructions to call “Sylvestre” when I was 20 minutes away from the apartment, to enable him to bring me the keys to the apartment.

I called him from the airport as I had no idea how long the taxi would take, he informed me to call him again when I arrived at the apartment.

When I arrived as requested I called “Sylvestre”, and after approximately 25 minutes he arrived.

He opened the ground floor door of one of the buildings, when I entered the smell of damp hit me immediately.
I was in a room with a settee, two very badly stained chairs and a coffee table. The window had a security shutter on the outside which was pulled down, as the centre window had a crack from corner to corner.

This room led into another room with a bed in and a unit of some kind, and some stairs decending to the basement?

I pulled back the duvet in this room and the linen on the bed had washed out stains on it.

“Sylvestre” then asked me to go downstairs with him, informing me to mind my step as the stairs were incredibly steep and semi spiral.

As I descended down the stairs the smell of damp was incredibly strong.
The bathroom and kitchen were situated on this floor, the bathroom was very basic, as was the kitchen.

When I returned to the Lounge/bedroom area, I noticed two small towels I asked if these were the only towels the reply was yes!

I then asked about a second key, “Sylvestre” then said that he would either bring one later that day or tomorrow morning.
He then left, as he was going I noticed another key on the unit in the bedroom and called him back, he tried the key in the lock of the door and it fitted. The handle of the lock was loose and almost hanging off. I told “Sylvestre” not to bother with a second key.

When he left I noticed another key on the unit which again fitted the main door. I then wondered exactly how many keys there were to this apartment.

There was no WIFI, and the whole apartment was in a sorry state.

I had the original contact details from when I booked in August 25, so I rang the number.
When the call was answered I introduced myself, The person answering then said “I am on holiday, did you not get the email detailing the address?”, I said I did, I then asked “Why has the address of the apartment been changed, as the apartment is not suitable and not what I booked, the reply was “okay I will refund the money” and the call was terminated.

Thankfully I was meant to pay upon arrival, but “Sylvestre” did not ask for the money.

Refund policy against the customer

Reservation couldn't get trough via app after several tries. After some time it went trough and I forgot to click the "anyime cancel" option. I immediately wrote the host&support for refund and I got charged 60% without any service.

Good easy to navigate site

Good easy to navigate the site, and offers good options to contact hosts before booking to ask any questions.
Gay owned as a search criteria would be great, and more transparency in pricing is an absolute must.

I knew that I wanted to be in the gayborhood while in Chicago so Mister B&B was a great outlet to achieve that goal. My host was very nice and had great bar/restaurant suggestions for me. Booking was easy.

Zisa Suite, a must if you’re traveling to Palermo

My husband and I stayed at Zisa Suites for three nights in Palermo, Sicily. Luis’ communication from the beginning was excellent! A few days before our arrival, Luis proactively reached out and provided instructions to his apartment. On the day of our arrival, he was out front and warmly welcomed us. His apartment is beautiful. Top notch amenities and a level of comfort that made us feel like we were staying in a boutique hotel.

Luis. Provided us recommendations on what to see, where to eat and drink, and checked in a couple of times to make sure things were going well.

Outstanding host and a top pick for anyone traveling to Palermo!! 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great experience with misterb&b

My first experience with misterb&b was flawless. Communication and payment flowed easily and the host/accommodation lived up to expectations and matched what was advertised. I didn’t need to use Customer Support, so I can’t give my opinion on that, but based on the experience I had, I’ll definitely be using the service again.

I am a Mister BnB host

I am a Mister BnB host. Dealing with their customer service and outdated software is a nightmare. Of course, they farm out all the support to countries where they cannot understand the issue. This is why the platform fails to grow because hosts cannot tolerate trying to make it work.

turning into booking.com

As a host, I’m really frustrated with how MisterBnB is evolving. It feels like the platform is moving away from individual hosts and more toward hotels and commercial-style apartments, starting to resemble Booking.com.

When searching in places like Madrid, it’s increasingly difficult to find genuine hosted stays among so many hotel-like listings.

The original idea behind MisterBnB was great, but it’s losing that personal, host-focused feel. A “real host” filter would help, althoug it wouldn't be enough as it should be the default filter.

My husband and I have traveled with…

My husband and I have traveled with misterbnb several times and we are hosts as well. We just returned from a super fun overnight in Tampa with yet another great host ( shout out Kevin - mid century home in Tampa)

We love that because of misterbnb there is a place we can go and feel safe, understood and welcomed to be us. As travelers we seek safe places where we know people speak our language and are there to keep us safe. As hosts we do the same - create a safe and fun environment for our larger family.
Misterbnb makes this possible. I only wish there were more hosts out there because sometimes there aren’t gay options.

I have found misterbnb easy to navigate - is the app perfect? No. But it is always being improved and I find it responsive and pretty user friendly. And for those who complain - do you have a solution? If so let’s do it! Otherwise thank you Misterbnb for being there for the community.
Great community, great product, great fun. We will continue our journey for sure.

This was my first time using misterb&b

This was my first time using misterb&b. It was a very seamless process. My friend and I were very satisfied with the accommodation we chose and planning in returning in a couple of months. I had no issues with communication with the site or the owner. Information was clear and precise. Will definitely be telling friends to use this site.
