I've had QBO for over a decade

I've had QBO for over a decade. Customer service used to be fantastic, but now it is almost impossible to talk to a human who understands the issues. You can chat to a lousy AI bot that doesn't understand what I am asking and provides unhelpful responses.
In the years I've had QBO the price has almost tripled! They jack of the price every single year. Same goes for QB Payroll.
What is most annoying now is they constantly innundate you with advertisements. Funding loans, upgrades, this that and any other thing they are trying to upsell you. I just want to see my data not have to click an "X" to get your damn advertisement off my screen.
Shame on Intuit.

Bad for business accounts

I switched my business and personal accounts from Citizens Bank to DCU because I didn't want my money supporting ICE. Looking back, I'm not sure it was worth it.

The trouble started in October 2025 when I applied online for a business account and was denied. I visited my local Acton, MA branch, where the staff were just as confused as I was. They called the online accounts team and were told DCU couldn't "verify the business" — despite staff sending them links to my listing on the MA Secretary of State website, Google reviews showing my business sign, and my business website. Still denied. I should have walked away then, but I stayed because I was committed to not banking with Citizens.

The next issue involved checks. My business name changed over a year ago, and because I'm in healthcare, getting insurance companies to update the name has been a slow process. So I still receive checks under my old business name. Citizens never had a problem depositing them. DCU refused — even after I showed them the business name amendment on the MA Secretary of State website, EFT deposits from DCU itself using the old name, and letters from insurers listing both names. No exceptions. There's no common sense applied at DCU — it feels like rules exist for their own sake, with no one empowered to use judgment.

The final straw was my estimated state tax payments. I set them up with the MA Department of Revenue using the correct DCU account numbers, but DCU routed the deposits to my main savings account instead of the checking account I specified. This happened twice.

Six months in, DCU has cost me real money in fees and a significant amount of time. I'm not switching back — I'd rather deal with the quirks than return to a bank whose values I oppose — but I won't pretend the transition has been anything other than frustrating. I'm glad to be at a credit union, but this one needs to apply a lot more common sense.

So happy that I switched my personal…

So happy that I switched my personal and business banking over to DCU. I switched from Citizens since they provide funding for ICE prisons, but I should have done it a long time ago. It is so nice not to be hit with fees for every little thing that Citizens charged me for $9.99 for not meeting a threshold amount in an account- $30 when someone write a check with insufficient funds, $30 in overdraft even though I pay a yearly fee, it goes on and on. DCU is a breath of fresh air away from the stifling Citizens.
In addition the online app is fantastic. It is so much easier to deposit a check, 2 clicks and it works.
If you go into a branch it is always friendly and welcoming.

Stay away from this online retailer

Stay away from this online retailer. Their product kept coming up on my search feed for tick tubes. First in the ordering process they do not let you enter a shipping address city,state,zip, they use only the google search which doesn't work for my address.
Then when I went to checkout it stated "product has been discontinued" and suggested an alternative product. The alternative product was bed bug spray!
I am going to block this site from showing up on my browsers so I don't get fooled again.

Sleazy marketing and questionable AI data

Well I clicked on their ad to check for AI - then I was given an option to turn it into human text. So I did that, and it 'thought' for a while... then came back and made me pay if I wanted the data. THAT IS SLEAZY MARKETING! I should have walked away. But no, I paid money for the 12 weeks for their $29.99 'deal'. Then, immediately after I pay, I see I only get 5000 words per week. Not much. So they ask for more money. THIS IS SLEAZY MARKETING!. So I paid more.
Then I figured I would have my humanized text that put me into this rabbit hole to begin with, but no. None of my data was saved. So I had to do it again, fine, it is just a cut and paste, and takes time. But it is really sleazy of them to offer something and not let you know up front that you will have to pay for it. It tells me this is not an honest company and lacks integrity.
So then the kicker is that the first bit of writing I gave it scored 68% AI. It asked me if I wanted to "Humanize" it. I did. I ran its output through 2 other AI checkers, and both returned a 100% AI score! The original text was less AI than the "Humanized" text. Garbage. I can't believe I just wasted over $40 on this crap.

Update: Ok maybe I didn't use enough words, but the marketing sleaze still stands. They did refund me for the purchase as I asked for it immediately,but did not refund for the additional words. Said they couldn't. I have been running a small business for 30 years, it is pretty easy to process a credit card refund nowadays compared to 1999.
This company would sit better with me if they were upfront with their AI generation and when you click on something they show it will cost you money to see it. I do not like this kind of marketing sleaze.

They just charged my card $29.95 even though I canceled my membership. I am now truly questioning the integrity of this company.

In particular, the Humanize feature is intended to rewrite and refine text so it sounds more natural and human-like, but very short inputs may produce little or no noticeable change. If only a very small text fragment is submitted, the system has limited material to meaningfully transform, which can make the output appear very similar to the original.

It is also important to note that comparing one AI-related tool against other third-party detectors does not always provide a reliable like-for-like benchmark. Different platforms use different internal models, scoring logic, and thresholds, and there is currently no universal industry standard that guarantees identical results across services. For that reason, a score returned by one external checker does not automatically mean another tool is inaccurate or not functioning.

Regarding pricing, subscriptions and additional word packages are separate parts of the service. The subscription includes a weekly word allowance, while additional words can be purchased if a user wishes to process more content. We understand that pricing or limits may sometimes feel disappointing if expectations were different, but they are part of how the service is structured rather than an attempt to mislead.

100% fraudulent company

Wow. This company is a scam and I do not use that word freely. My wife got suckered by their ad in August 2024 when she signed up for an ad for 19.99 for a trial, then all of a sudden our card was charged $119.88. My wife said the app was useless and the exercises were bogus, she tried to cancel and they would not let her. We even fought it with Chase and they sided with this sleazy merchant.
Fast forward to Dec 2025 and a $19.99 charge shows up on my credit card. I guess they are keeping cards on file and figured to charge folks hoping no one would notice so they can make some quick cash.
This company needs to be investigated for fraud.

I hate giving a local company a bad…

I hate giving a local company a bad review. I see their beautiful new building when I drive into Boston on the Masspike. .....but man I do not trust the listings on this site.
I saw a listing for a car from Automotive Avenues in NJ that showed a shipping price. I spent a lot of time researching the car - set up an inspection as well. Then, when it came time to finalize, they said they couldn't ship it from NJ to Mass because it was too old.
My issue is it seems CarGurus is no better than other aggregate sites. The information may not always be correct. CarGurus needs to do a better job vetting dealer information.

I was a longtime trustfax.com user. If there was an issue I could call support. Now it seems that eFax swallowed trustfax.com
If I go to the trustfax.com website it resolves to efax.com/ trustfax. I can log into my account but there is no support. I've made support tickets and have not received a response. I sent an email as on the webpage to support at trustfax.com and no response.
The efax.com website has no way to contact a live person.
C'mon efax get your sh!t together - your customer service is difficult to find and it was an awful transition for the trustfax.com users you inherited.

ADDENDUM: After efax contacted me below with an address for customer support, I emailed them. That was 2+ days ago, but I still have not heard back.

Stay away from trustfax/efax

Update 5/3/26 - I send emails requesting help and no one responds. It is infuriating!

Looks like they were taken over by eFax. I was a longtime trustfax.com user but eFax is awful. I cannot get in touch with a human being. Contact forms do not work. I have sent questions to support as I can no longer send faxes, but never received any responses.

Oh my - they run a google ad "Create your own custom gift certificates and vouchers with our free online gift certificate maker. Start by choosing from a variety of free gift certificate"
So I attempt to download it and I need to pay for it. It is not free. I just spent an hour making a gift certificate - what a waste.

Stay away!!

Stay away!!! Charge stated $9.99 but was charged $119.88 for a full year - Their website is not clear - their charges are questionable - their practices are sleazy. You cannot get in touch with a live person.
Also if you look at their website they give themselves a 5 star Trustpilot review (as of 29 Aug 2024). Hah. False advertising.

Best place for pet supplies

As Amazon has destroyed the local brick and mortar bookstores Chewy has closed the local pet shops. But the customer service and prices on Chewy could not compare to my former local pet stores.
Chewy has everything and GREAT customer service. I once wrote a negative review on a cat hairbrush and they refunded the money on the brush and said to donate to a shelter if I could. Yesterday we bought some litter by mistake and Chewy issued a refund and suggested I donate to a local shelter. Chewy is a model for excellent customer service!

Rocketmiles will take your miles but not give you what you ordered - A Shameful business stay away

On 06/24/23 I booked a Dollar car rental through “rocket Rental Car rewards” with my American Air rewards with 56K miles for 11am July 1 at SFO. We arrived at SFO rental car facility at approximately 11:10am to a tremendously long line and many angry passengers apparently waiting for hours. A representative from Dollar came out to tell us it will take approximately 2 hours to get to the counter and then it another 5-7 hours before we had a car. A gentleman came over to talk to him and we found out he had been waiting since 6:30am for a car and was told it could be another 2 hours. We need to be in Oakland by 3pm. I immediately called the AAdvantage number on the reservation. I told them of the situation at Dollar. This number is apparently affiliated with "Rocketmiles". I stated Dollar did not have any cars and I need to cancel my reservation and take an Uber. On July 5 I received an email from AAdvantage stating that I could not receive a refund of my miles as their "booking partner" would not refund. I assumed the partner was Dollar and filed a BBB complaint against Dollar. However Dollar said they collected no money. So then I sent emails to Rocketmiles asking to reinstate my 56K miles, but received emails stating they could not because of their "booking partner" agreement. They would not tell me who their "booking partner is" Who is making the money on this? Rocketmiles? This is awful customer service and there needs to be a change the way Rocket does business to leave customers on the short end because of their failures to provide the promised services. It appears to be a lame excuse by Rocket to say "sorry we cannot because of booking partners agreement". This is extremely poor customer service. Rocket should be ashamed the way it does business. I want my 56K miles reinstated to my AAdvantage account with no excuses from Rocket blaming their business partner.

I used this day and night for over 2…

I used this day and night for over 2 months and didn't see much of a difference over the other nail fungus products I've used. The company states within 60 days you can get a refund, but I am now at about 80 days so missed the window, my fault.
Overall I was disappointed as for a price of over $40 per bottle I expected more than what I get at my local CVS.

Since I installed MacKeeper my MacBook Air 10,1 slows down. A lot. When I check Activity Monitor Mackeeper is using up often over 1.5G of RAM. Sometimes it can go way up to 10G RAM.

I like that it cleans junk files. At least I think it does.

I bought this in December 2020 for my…

I bought this in December 2020 for my 12 year old son as a Christmas present just for the Steph Curry basketball class. It looks like there are many great classes, but I do not have the time.
In November 2021 I absolutely canceled my account. Much to my surprise when I see a charge for $180 on January 18 2022.
I see other complaining about this as well. Mistakes happen. If they do not refund me shortly and I need to contact my credit company I will downgrade this review to 1 star.

Second order from Poshmark - second time order was not shipped. If you email Poshmark it takes days to get a reply.
They need to make some serious changes to their platform and penalize bad sellers. They also need customer service.
