Theft!
Ordered bbq trolley 30 May £209. Said in stock - it wasn’t. Changed delivery date from 9 to 10 June, nothing. Numerous scripted, condescending responses to my emails as no phone number. All said they’d ring me back - nothing. Initiated formal complaints process - nothing. Asked for refund by 22 June - nothing. Now reporting as theft.
Edit after Homebase response - to be clear, this was never resolved, I cancelled out of total frustration!

Sent wrong lawn mower and strimmer.electric instead of battery. 79 year old lady long garden. Wire can be dangerous. Gave me £20 back to keep it. Has while shoppong my son openef ir and proceeded to mow the law not lnowing it was the wrong one.

Absolute con artists.
Bought an online wardrobe which fell apart after 8 months. Homebase/The Range refused to give money back but offered me a £34 voucher then only sent me a £19 now saying can only offer one refund per claim. Absolute con artists.
Google says that they are part of the The Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman but when you put in their details they are not recognised.
Good package!
Prompt in time, it came the day they said it would be delivered.
However, I wish they had more delivery service on garden compost and other heavy bulky items that an old person with no car cant buy from Homebase, instead we go somewhere else for this.

Not Great!
The item itself is great. Just what I expected and really easy to put together. However Homebase since closing all stores and going online only has gone down the pan as far as customer service and efficiency goes. Ordered on 24th May with a delivery date of 5th June. That date came and went and attempts to contact a human being to chase it up is almost impossible! You have to go to The Range website and use the live chat function as there isn't one on the Homebase website and no contact number for customer service! And then no-one there seems to know what's going on either. The delivery agent only received the package from Homebase 3 days after the date it was supposed to arrive with me, so that meant it was delivered to me a week late, in a box that looked like it had done a trip around the world before arriving with me! Luckily no damage to the contents. No apology and no attempt to regain my confidence in them. I won't be buying from them again. I'll stick with Amazon next time as much better service.
Garden furniture is lovley
Garden furniture is lovley. ..but 2 x parts missing on 2 chairs ...the bars for the bottom to keep chair together. ..trying to keep the furniture and get the parts sent..advised have to send it all back and i have built it all ..what a waste of time and money would really like someone to help me get resolved please ..thankyou to Jordon who went out their way to resolve the issue

Firstly my delivery wasn’t delivered as per date advised, delivery company was great though.
Secondly the bed was not the bed I ordered.
Thirdly I decided to keep the bed recieved as I had visitors due and needed a bed, however I’ve put the bed together and then realised there is no bed slats!!!!
There is no way of contacting them, so I’m not only left with a bed I didn’t order I am also left with a bed I can’t use. Disgusting customer service. Avoid!!!
Update - still trying to get my slats meanwhile I’ve had a collection booked although I agreed to keep the bed. I asked for compensation in which I’ve asked to be paid back to my bank card and they are now asking where to send the gift card and no mention of slats…honestly!
Need to update communication
The products themselves were just what I wanted and a reasonable price, however the delivery details need a serious overhaul. The only information I had was confirmation of order and your goods are shipped and will arrive on or before a certain date.
I would of liked to know a specific day as the day they arrived I was out and whoever left them just propped them up in front of my door where anyone could of stolen them (package was over a metre high so no small) I wouldn’t of minded if they had led it down in front of my wall so at least it would of been partially hidden. It’s a miracle they were still there.
Even after several days after the delivery the status is still showing as shipped and not delivered!
Given the poor communication I don’t think I would order from Homebase again unfortunately.
The watering can was very dented
The watering can was very dented, looked like someone had been playing football with it. No more in the store even though the stock list says there was. Asked for refund. This wouldn’t work for online refund so finally they agreed to refund in store. Not the best use of 20 minutes of my time!
I ordered the wrong colour items
I ordered the wrong colour items. I realised my error, and requested cancellation of my order. I received a speedy response, and my order was cancelled, so I then ordered the correct colour. My items were delivered quickly, and I was kept updated throughout. Very satisfied with the level of service, and items purchased.
Delivery and customer service
Delivery never turned up on the date expected. Chased this with customer service and got nowhere so cancelled my delivery and went elsewhere. I will not be using Homebase again after this experience.

All three bags of compost that I ordered were split and held together by thick black tape. I should have returned the order to the store particularly as one bag was significantly lighter but I didn’t have time.

Stay clear as customer after care, is insulting, if not non existent. If i'm honest I think I am dealing with Homebase but they seem to umbrella so many other companies which is confusing. I believe I bought online from Homebase and I have spent far too much time chasing this company to give a simple collect and refund. 14 emails to them which regurgitate the same generic answer "our other department will be in touch within 48 hours" I can confirm 14 days dealing with this and not once has the "other department has ever contacted me".
Exasperated I found an email for CEO to put my case forward and I still haven't be contacted by them.
It was a simple collect item and refund. Today it has been collected although I wasn't informed they were coming and could have been out. I still cannot get an answer as to when to expect my refund of nearly £600! Its like banging your head against a wall.

Now Im trying to return the item but they’ve been asking for photos of the item and label 3 times now! Aren’t they reading the previous emails?! Will escalate this matter to my credit card provider to sort their mess out
