Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 234 reviews, most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many customers felt that the prices were excessively high for the quality and quantity of food received, often describing it as not worth the cost. Reviewers frequently encountered issues with their orders, including missing items, incorrect orders, or food arriving cold and soggy, especially when ordering online. The product quality was often criticized, with burgers described as tasteless, dry, or undercooked, and fries sometimes being inedibly salty or stale. However, some customers also noted that the staff were polite, enthusiastic, and efficient, with specific individuals receiving praise for their helpfulness. A few other people also felt that despite the higher cost, the quality of the ingredients and the taste of certain items, like milkshakes, justified the price for a premium burger experience.

Five Guys, zero paper bags

This was my first visit to Five Guys on Pentonville Road, and I came away rather disappointed.
The food was decent, but nothing exceptional and certainly not worth the exorbitant prices.
The servings are enormous, very much "American-sized", and there was far more food than I could reasonably finish. Not wanting to see nearly £50 worth of food go to waste, I went to the counter and politely asked for a paper bag so I could take the leftovers with me.
The employee behind the counter looked at me with a distinctly unfriendly expression (all the staff looks miserable btw) and simply refused my request. A bloody paper bag!
For a brand that charges premium prices, I would expect both better food and considerably better customer service. This was not an experience I would be eager to repeat.

Very nice staff

Very nice staff, they were polite and helpful. The food wasn't bad either! I love that they still take cash which the McDonald's nearby will not.

Awful service

Awful service - took 1.5 hours to get a 'priority' delivery via Uber Eats. Five Guys Burger (Harlow) and fries was delivered cold and honestly, I've had better food from a burger van. Cost £44 for two kids burgers and fries

Worst food in Manchester

Last minute decision to go here as no tables at my first choice in the area. Never again. The staff were welcoming and efficient but the burger was possibly the worst I have ever eaten . Dry and lacking in any flavour in a dry bread roll with a smear of acrid tomato sauce. The chips were acceptable but I was amazed at the presentation ,a small cup contained some of them but the rest were just tipped into the bag containing the burger. I cannot imagine how this chain survives.

Delivery never arrived

I ordered through a delivery service at 22:47 and was quoted 23:30 as the lates my order would arrive. The delivery time kept creeping up, later and later until they quoted midnight, which was 1 hour and 13 minutes after placing my order. I spent the evening hungry and disappointed.
