Happy Valley, Llandudno

A public park that occupies part of the site of a former quarry. Following closure of the quarry, the land was given to the town by Lord Mostyn in 1887. Substantial development of leisure facilities took place in the 1930s, with the addition of a cable car terminal in 1969. In 2022 the gardens were scheduled as a Grade II park 'for its historic interest as a nineteenth-century public garden with later additions containing some interesting features including a large rockery, a camera obscura and a colonnaded walk'.

About shared descriptions

These Shared Descriptions are common to multiple images.

For example, you can create a generic description for an object shown in a photo, and reuse the description on all photos of the object. All descriptions are public and shared between contributors, i.e. you can reuse a description created by others, just as they can use yours.
