Used black label grading for the first time a little while back and was really happy with the service they provide, great communication and email updates throughout the grading process, would recommend them to anyone wanting to grade with the big 3 companies!

I have nothing but positive experiences

I have nothing but positive things to say about BLG. Fantastic customer service and very quick to help. A lot of issues I see people having are timescales relating to services but these are not in control of them and down to the companies we wish to use services of so I feel that is unfair to hold against them.

I have made numerous submissions with BLG

I have made numerous submissions with Black Label Grading. Each have been handled with great communication through both Email and Discord, and my cards have been handled with care and consideration.

Delays are high at the moment and grading companies like PSA and BGS have insane price spikes and turnaround times on their side. A lot of reviewers appear to have unfairly blamed that on BLG, so please consider that!

I don't usually leave reviews

Hi i've never left a review but I thought I would after reading all of the others.

I've used blacklabelgrading twice and both times everything has been smooth, yes turnaround times are long but im quite sure that's due to the backlog of psa, beckett etc.

A lot of people talk about how communication is an issue - I've been able to communicate via instagram (due to their popularity it's taken longer to get a reply and stuff but they still reply), email and even calling their phone multiple times so im not too sure what thats about.

Card swapping - If i was running a company that presumably makes a lot of money would I really be swapping peoples cards? its bad for reputation and money down the line. any card swapping I believe is from the graders (just look at the lenticular deoxys psa case). Even I had sent in a PC eevee promo which was NM and it came back a 6, but just thinking about what would be easier for BLG to buy a WORSE copy of the card I got (maybe take 3 days to arrive) to then SWAP the cards and then to grade the other card?? OR if its swapped at the grader which takes a couple seconds... its pretty easy to guess which ones more likely.

Personally I'm going to keep using BLG - they communicate well with me, give me constant updates on my submissions and are trustworthy - they handle cards worth house deposits mate, if you really think they're swapping out your £260 card thats just crazy.

obviously every company has their downsides im not saying they're perfect but they're good and reliable.

I got scammed by these guys

I got scammed by these guys. I don't know whether it was Black label grading themselves or if it was BGS. But BLG handled my Sylveon Ex SIR from Prismatic evolutions set and sent it to BLG. This card was pulled by me from a pack and it was in incredibly good condition. I thought it could get a black label it was that good. No marks no nothihg. Centering amazing. Even people at shows went under microscope and told me this looks amazing.
Anyways. They took forever to send it back even though I paid for quicker service. And to my horror when it came back it was not the same card! It had a scratch on it and edge whitening that it didnt have before and I knew someone did something.
I was shocked. And it was my one best card I ever naturally pulled.
THE ARE SCAMMERS these people. Make sure u take good photos and videos of your very valuable cards if u will send in for grading cos u can get scammed.
John who is either the manager or owner was not willing to do anything. He didnt show me any evidence of emails he had sent. He didnt even bother to get the owner of the other card simultaneously done with mine to see in case it was the same. He is either a pathological liar. Or...he just can't do anything in the face of a big company like BGS. So all he can do is act like its ok.
Well it is not ok. U ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. AND WE HAD ENOUGH and bad things are coming your way.
The card switching and scams need to stop. We pay a lot of money for this hobby.

I feel like I need to write this…

I feel like I need to write this…

So, I have had nothing but success with BLG from when I first used them years ago, up until my most recent submission.

I’m not going to review them based on turn around times like other reviews as if you use just a little common sense you’d understand that issues like that are beyond BLG, those are issues with what ever grading company you chose to send to. PSA have a horrible backlog, BGS isn’t fairing too much better either.

So, to reiterate, the service that BLG provides is second to none, they have fantastic communication via discord as the fast method of communication.
My cards arrive back to me in a timely manner from when they receive my cards back from the grading companies.

I just can’t understand these other 1 star reviews, it brings down the rating for this company when it’s not an issue to do with them, take your complaints the the actual grading companies and not the middlemen services.

Thank you BLG for your services you provide, I don’t think I’d use any other middleman.

Just Terrible. Avoid.

Grossly exaggerated timelines, terrible communications and cards that were clearly switched during the grading process. Zero personal accountability. Go elsewhere.

Black Label Grading - Extremely Unreliable Service - Serious Risk for Valuable Cards

I am writing this review after a very stressful and disappointing experience.

At the beginning of January, I shipped 5 collectible cards to this company, which publicly claims to be an official partner of PSA, Beckett, and CGC in Europe (based in the Netherlands). I carefully followed their instructions, created the order correctly, and shipped the package to the exact address they provided. My courier delivered the package within 2 days.

After 24 hours with no update from the company, I contacted them for clarification. Several days later, they replied saying they did not have the package. Only at that point did I learn that they rent an external space to receive shipments — something that is not clearly specified during the order process. There is absolutely no transparent tracking system between their receiving location and their internal operations.

They insisted the package was not delivered to them and pushed me to open a claim with the courier, despite the courier showing confirmed delivery. At one point, they even attempted to suggest that the courier had left the package at the wrong location.

The most alarming part: there is apparently no internal tracking between the company and the third-party location where they receive packages. Once marked as delivered, there is no visibility whatsoever. For a company handling items that can be worth thousands of euros, this is completely unacceptable.

After 10 working days, the courier located the package. Ironically, the company then informed me that the package had been found. However, during that entire period, they repeatedly claimed it was not there.

Due to their mismanagement and the complete lack of reliability, I requested that my cards be immediately returned to me to avoid further risk. Despite the serious inconvenience they caused, they did not prioritize my return shipment. On the contrary, after multiple follow-ups over 8 days, they responded by saying they also have other customers and that return shipping is not something fast.

In total, my cards were effectively stuck for one full month. For most of that time, I had no certainty whether my package was lost, misplaced, or stolen.

This is not an exaggerated or fabricated story — this is my real experience. From Europe, if you care about your investments and the safety of your valuable cards, I strongly recommend avoiding this company.

Completely unacceptable management, zero transparency, and extremely poor customer handling.

Poor experience

I used BLG for 6 orders totalling roughly 110 cards since tariffs were introduced (+ a few times before) , after I was unable to submit myself to PSA. They have a 3 week additional turnaround time in either direction (shipping to PSA and back), totalling 6 weeks extra. If you pay for a 20 day turnaround with regular, be prepared to be disappointed.

When people raise concerns, they claim that all middlemen have this issue. I initially believed them, however after trying other middlemen, cards arrive and return significantly quicker (with PSA tracking stages not having a 3 week delay) and turnarounds seem to be roughly 5 weeks less.
I also used them before the tariffs and shipping to PSA was still slow. I assume that they use the cheapest shipping possible at the cost of their customers.

The owners also have poor communication, and I would not use again.

Avoid using black label grading

Avoid using black label grading at all costs, the communication from them is very bad. My cards were sent away in July, I got an email at the start of November saying cards have arrived back and it will be 2-3 weeks until I receive the order, it has now been 7 weeks and still nothing, they don’t answer emails or phone calls. Use subcenter over this company and I promise you will get your cards earlier and have a better customer service experience. The fact they think they don’t have to communicate with you when it’s thousands of pounds worth of slabs that have appeared to have gone missing is crazy and I am now seeking legal advice

First time grading with PSA

Depending on the service you choose it can take a while; but that's just PSA.

However, that doesn't take away from the overall experience. Black Label Grading are a safe, trustworthy, affordable way to send your cards to the biggest graders.

I was overjoyed to receive my cards back after waiting a while, and have already made a second order with BLG.

Keep up the great work.

By far and away the worst grading…

By far and away the worst grading experience I’ve ever had in my life.
Sent 3 cards away in February, confirmed receipt of cards by black label on 21st February. 25th July today and still no sign of my cards, very little to zero communication (basically an email once a month to say the cards are with PSA) and no phone to contact them. They won’t even call me and offer an explanation.
