Royal mail is useless, incompetent and overall one of the worst run organisations. For an organisation that was founded in 1516 you’d think they would have had enough time to figure out how to do the basic form of their job and actually deliver mail.
Medication parcel dumped on doorstep, lying operative
Parcel dumped on doorstep, no attempt to make us aware, left open to the elements and theft. Caught up with operative who advises she always just dumps them on the doorstep. She also then said the parcel wouldn't fit through the letterbox! We know she didn't try and I informed her I'd check. Of course it did no problem!!

Nearly every phone call from a patient is about not getting their letter or receiving too late and missing the appointment. When is something going to be done about this. its an absoulte disgrace and shambles and putting peoples lives at risk

After waiting the entire day, nothing was delivered and I received no meaningful update. This level of service is extremely disappointing and unacceptable. Customers should not be expected to waste a full day waiting for a delivery that never arrives. Royal Mail expecting, we to sit at home all day with no delivery window, no updates, and no certainty that the parcel will even arrive. Then the day ends and nothing is delivered :(. Very bad

These are just birthday cards but what if they are important NHS appointments, for example. Something very serious could be missed. Truly appalling service.
Privatisation is nothing but a failed corporate experiment. In every sector it fails. The Royal Mail is a failed company. How that wonderful service has become this is a joke. An utter joke.

Was informed on Thursday 18th June 2026 that my parcel would be delivered that day. Never received my parcel. Friday 18th June 2026, checked royal mail regarding my parcel and now it states running behind. So basically was due my parcel on Thursday and never arrived. And Friday I'm not getting either. What a shite business. So unreliable.

Royal mail are totally useless, and blatantly lying.
I got an email from them for a delivery around 1pm, then waited for the delivery from 10AM and until 1:30 PM nothing.
I received an email saying that there was nobody at my address.
I rechecked my cctv from 11am to 1pm and I can confirm that nobody came.
I filed a complain and the fckg guy I got tried to minimize the problem, suggesting that I was not at my address (I asked him to stop joking because I have the movie recorded in camera showing that nobody knocked my door, I even checked at my neighbors to no avail.
Actually given the huge number (97%) of 1 star rate one should never ever rely on this mail company and pay for a private delivery even if it's not free.
I am amazed by the number of stupid employees they hire, one day I spoke with a white British postman who delivered a letter for another address who was unable to read correctly, I heard racist people complain against immigrants but I realise that they are far better educated than most of our national folks.

Absolutely useless. Paid for 24yrs delivery only to be told after taking the afternoon off (unpaid) that they were authorised not too deliver. And will attempt again tomorrow. This is medicine and now I will have to drive to a pharmacy in an attempt to buy the said medication. The sooner this shit shower are taken over by the government the better. Fkn idiots

Royal Mail personel couldn't deliver as he/she/they/it can't access my road. They know to deliver into a box, which is clearly marked there. Instead of delivering to the box, they leave a card - not saying it's at the nearest post office, but they'll attempt the following day. The sheer stupidity of the staff is unbearably visable.

I opened a Parcelforce business account with the intention of building a long-term shipping partnership as my company grows.
Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing, not because of the shipment issues, but because of the difficulty in obtaining clear communication and account support.
Over approximately six months I communicated with multiple departments, including Account Management, Customer Services, Executive Complaints, Retention Management and the Escalated Customer Resolution Team. While responses were eventually received, I repeatedly found myself being redirected between teams without receiving clear answers to relatively straightforward questions regarding my account status, support arrangements and future relationship with Parcelforce and Royal Mail.
As a small business, I understand that mistakes happen and that large organisations go through restructuring. What I found most frustrating was the lack of ownership and the absence of a clear point of contact who could provide definitive answers.
The operational issues themselves were manageable. The communication process was not.
After six months of attempting to obtain answers, I ultimately decided to close my account and move my business elsewhere.
The decision was not driven by parcel delays or compensation claims. It was driven by the fact that I was never given a clear explanation of where my business stood following the Royal Mail and Parcelforce integration and as of this date no one has yet clearly explained whether I still had a business account,
I found it particularly disappointing that obtaining a straightforward answer to these questions took six months and communication with multiple departments, yet still left me uncertain about my account status.
My experience may not reflect that of every customer, but I would encourage any small business considering a Parcelforce business account to ensure they fully understand what level of account support they will receive and who will be responsible for managing their relationship going forward.

Generally speaking, it would be helpful to be able to track an item before Royal Mail attempt delivery, but no: "An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item". Symptomatic of a failing organisation, with service going in the opposite direction as its costs. In recent years, if items haven't gone missing outright, they might as well have done due to the delays...
