Shocked by appalling customer service when smashed our kitchen
I am absolutely shocked and disgusted by our experience and terrible customer service by such a large company. We bought a new boiler and decided best to have Leroy install. So unprofessional the two me they sent didn't even have a bucket to empty the boiler. He arrived shouting at me to get two buckets! I was stressed as didn't have one so they used all my pots and pans. Then there was a terrible crash and they started calling me by my first name that I found disrespectful. The water was so heavy in the containers they had a smashed my wooden worktop and hob! Water was everywhere. They shrugged and walked out leaving everything broken, flooded and I had get help to empty the water filled containers. That was 23th April 2026. Today 15th June 2026 after 6 visits to clients services and endless messaging they delivered new simple white kitchen units, worktop and hob. But no sign of thd kitchen fitters I was told were to come today!!! Another phone call has shown the fitters are not planned for this week. They have had months to organise.
I blame Veronica in installation in Palma Mallorca who appears to be in charge. No one knows what they are doing or takes control! She seemed more concerned with supplying the cheapest replacement option.

I feel awful giving a bad review. I first encountered the company in Tenerife and thought wow, when I ever move to Spain I know I will be able to buy great products as in the UK. Sadly, Leroy Merlin do not give a monkeys chuff about customer care and product quality. The store near Elche has more staff than customers at times and the quality and range of products has a lot to be desired. Be warned about ordering online. Expect to lose 2 days of your life waiting for your order to be delivered. Great cafe though with fab staff so that bit I cannot fault

Update 21 May - still waiting for Leroy Merlín to contact me regarding issues. I have 2 case numbers and they are fully aware of all issues.
Update 20 May - late afternoon - I was given a refund for the paint order.
As yet nobody from the store has contacted me about the issues on Tuesday.
Update - part orders collected after 2.5 hours wait. One item missing (small step ladders) form one order. Customer service said out of stock but under my orders it says I have received it, when I haven’t. They now owe me €34,99 from this order.
Another order they loaded a shower tray into the van which had been previously opened and the box very battered and had been sellotaped back up. It’s certainly not new and in manufacturers sealed condition. The other items were 20 guardavivo and they were battered at ends and chipped to hell. Both these items now need collecting and refunded.
Another order I was advised that it would not be in stock until the 21 May. Three large tubs of paint at a cost of €156,97. I can’t carry them so a refund is needed on these.
Update as of Wednesday morning I’m still waiting for Leroy Merlin to contact me with regards to all the issues. Many WhatsApps have been sent and they are aware of the issues.
Update Tuesday 19 May, 13:19 hrs - still waiting for orders and customer service aren’t not bothered. They just say there is more people than me waiting. They had had an extra 24 hours to prepare my order and still not ready.
Waited over 2 hours for collection and all customer service can say is there are more people waiting beside you. I had 2 slots for collection but only got 2 light fitting in that time.
Tuesday 19 May - Leroy Merlin an absolute disgrace. Sent a van to collect €2000 + worth of orders and nothing is ready for collection. The order should have been ready yesterday. They don’t deserve to be in business.

It is unbelievable how incompetent the people working there are. We did two bathroom renovations, and instead of taking two weeks, the project dragged on for two and a half months simply because they could not make a correct delivery order.
They constantly gave false information — telling us the materials were in stock and even “out for delivery,” but when we called again, suddenly nothing was available. The communication was terrible, the delays were endless, and the whole experience was extremely frustrating.
I would not recommend this company to anyone!
ZERO CUTSTOMER SERVICE!!
On 17 April 2026, I ordered a door from Leroy for the second time. I am now almost a month further, and I have still not received anything. Yet I received an email saying my package had been “delivered”, even though nothing was ever delivered to me.
Since then, I have tried to contact Leroy multiple times via WhatsApp, email and their contact form. Every time, the only thing you get is an automated message. No real response, no help, no solution. Their WhatsApp line doesn’t even seem to exist anymore.
When I called, I was told in Spanish that I “just had to wait”. Even when they supposedly would “investigate” where the package is, they showed no responsibility or empathy. No “sorry, we will send a new one”, nothing. I was told someone who speaks English would call me back, but that never happened.
It is truly shameful how Leroy treats its customers. A package can get lost, that’s understandable. But leaving a customer completely in the dark, without updates, without help and without any solution, is ridiculous and totally unprofessional. I have paid, but I have received nothing — and Leroy clearly does not care.
I am now considering going physically to a Leroy store, because their so‑called “customer service” is useless. I will post an update once I do, but so far this has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

El 17 de abril de 2026 hice por segunda vez un pedido de una puerta en Leroy. Ya ha pasado casi un mes, pero todavía no he recibido nada. Aun así, recibí un correo diciendo que mi paquete había sido “entregado”, cuando nunca llegó a mi domicilio.
Desde entonces he intentado contactar varias veces por WhatsApp, correo electrónico y el formulario de contacto. El resultado siempre es el mismo: solo respuestas automáticas, ningún empleado responde y no ofrecen ninguna solución. La línea de WhatsApp ni siquiera parece existir ya.
Por teléfono me dijeron en español que “tenía que esperar”. Incluso cuando supuestamente iban a investigar dónde estaba el paquete, no mostraron ninguna responsabilidad ni empatía. No hubo un “lo sentimos, le enviamos uno nuevo”, nada. Me prometieron que me llamaría alguien que hablara inglés, pero tampoco me llamaron.
Es realmente vergonzoso cómo Leroy trata a sus clientes. Que un paquete se pierda puede pasar, pero dejar al cliente totalmente abandonado, sin información, sin ayuda y sin ninguna solución, es ridículo y completamente poco profesional. Yo ya he pagado, pero no he recibido nada, y a Leroy parece no importarle en absoluto.
Estoy considerando ir físicamente a una tienda Leroy, porque con su “servicio de atención al cliente” no se consigue nada. Más adelante publicaré una actualización sobre cómo va eso, pero hasta ahora esta ha sido la peor experiencia de servicio que he tenido.
Leroy Merlin Stores Make Returns and After-Sales Care Painfully Difficult
My experience with Leroy Merlin stores has been extremely disappointing, particularly when it comes to returns, refunds, and after-sales care.
In my opinion, Leroy Merlin’s in-store after-sales process feels designed to discourage customers from pursuing legitimate refunds or returns. Instead of making things straightforward, they seem to make the process as slow, awkward, and frustrating as possible. The impression I got is that the aim is to wear customers down so fewer people continue with their complaints.
When Leroy Merlin are selling you something, the process is easy. But once there is a problem, the attitude changes completely. Staff appear reluctant to take ownership, refunds are not handled smoothly, and customers are left having to chase, explain, repeat themselves, and push far harder than should be necessary.
A proper retailer should stand behind what it sells. Leroy Merlin stores, based on my experience, do the opposite. They make after-sales care feel like an obstacle course.
I would advise customers to think very carefully before buying from Leroy Merlin stores, especially anything expensive, technical, or likely to need support. The real test of a retailer is what happens after they have your money — and in my experience, Leroy Merlin falls badly short.

Les daría 0 estrellas a su servicio, pero como no puedo hacerlo, he puesto 1. Hice un pedido el 1 de abril de 2026 y me dijeron que lo recibiría el 21 de abril. Confirmé con su centro de atención telefónica (91 7496000) tanto el día 20 como el 21 de abril que recibiría mi pedido, y en ambas ocasiones la respuesta fue afirmativa.
La tarde del 21 de abril, de la nada, recibí un mensaje de WhatsApp informándome de que mi pedido se retrasaría entre 3 y 5 días laborables, y eso fue todo. Volví a llamar, envié mensajes por WhatsApp y fui personalmente a su tienda de Barajas, Madrid, donde presenté una reclamación formal a la que nunca respondieron.
Tenía albañiles esperando el pedido. Al final, se suponía que debía llegar entre el 24 y el 29 de abril. Como no obtenía ninguna solución, el día 28 compré el mismo producto en otra tienda.
El retraso me costó 1.800 € en costes de retención de los albañiles. La disculpa de Leroy Merlin fue un vale de compra de 30 €. ¿Qué clase de trato es ese? Jamás volveré. A partir de ahora usaré Bauhaus.
I would rated their services 0 stars but as I can’t do that I have put 1. I made an order on the 1st of April 2026 and was told that I would receive it on the 21st of April. I confirmed with their call center 91 7496000 ton the 20th and on the 21st that I would receive my order and the answer on both dates was affirmative. The afternoon of the 21st April out of the blue I got a WhatsApp message letting me know that my order would be delayed by 3-5 working days and that was it. I called again, I sent WhatsApp I physically went to their store in Barajas, Madrid and put a formal complaint which they Never answered. I had builders waiting for the order. In the end the order was supposed to have come between 24 and 29 April. I went out and bought the same product from another store on the 28th as I was getting nowhere. The delay cost me 1,800€ in builder retainment. Leroy Merlin apology is a 30€ store voucher. How disgusting is that. Never going back. Will be using Bauhaus from now on.
Bugs on site + cannot fix order
I was placing a large order and one of the items was saying it was not deliverable once in the cart (though, on the product page it was deliverable) -- so I emptied my cart into a list for later, to save the 27 items to try again to see if i could order this item. Well, I put this item back in the cart from the list, and then added it back - and it was the only item in the list - the whole list got deleted! So, I had to start over and then submitted my order and realised I had added back a slightly different variant of an item than I originally had in there. So, I wrote a message asking for this one item with its reference number to be replaced by another, whose reference number I also provided. I did this within 30min of placing the order, for which the delivery date was in 10 days --- and the next day got a reply saying they could not make this change because the order was already dispatched. Lies! I spent almost 600 euros and had many problems due to bugs on their site and have to wait a week and a half to receive the order, yet somehow they cannot switch this one item for the correct one? Big companies with many employees are completely useless.
UPDATE:
My order actually arrived a week early, but a whole box and 200 euros worth of stuff is missing. Though, on Leroy's site it says it's been delivered. Fantastic!
ANOTHER UPDATE:
I eventually got my stuff, with not too much of a delay - and after just also experiencing Brico Depot delivery and customer service, I have to increase Leroy's score, cos Leroy is definitely better.

Cancelled order STOLEN DELIVERY CHARGE
I ordered 5 items online on 25th March The advertising informed me delivery in 1 to 4 days Notification AFTER PAYMENT was changed to 30th APRIL 36 days. Under spainish consumer law if a purchase on line is made the purchaser has a 14 day RIGHT to cancel FOR ANY REASON. 5 days into the 24days having received the revised delivery date I contacted Leroy Merlin to cancel the order. I was informed " the order cannot be cancelled" After many hours and several false starts to get a refund I finally got a refund MINUS the 30 euros " delivery charge" Leroy Merlin no longer answer my emails phone calls or WhatsApp messages. The " delivery" cannot take place as the order has been cancelled so Leroy Merlin HAVE STOLEN THE DELIVERY CHARGE. AVOID AVOID AVOID. looking at the Trustpilot reviews Leroy Merlin just treats its customers with contempt.

Disastrous. Order has not been received. Requests for refund are a nightmare. I now understand all the bad reviews and will never buy anything from Leeroy Merlin again. I would give zero stars if I could. Just a nightmare
Failure to fulfill obligations when purchasing and delivering goods.
One star is too much for Leroy Merlin!! I ordered support stands, paid for delivery, but nothing has arrived for a month. I've written numerous letters and complaints, called the phone numbers provided, and even went to the store to pick up the order ourselves (despite the delivery being paid) – but in the end, they completely ignore customers who have already paid. Apparently, those responsible for all this don't understand that they are violating the terms of the contract, which has legal consequences.
I highly DO NOT recommend this store or their unqualified staff. All those super-positive reviews here seem like a paid PR stunt to boost their ratings, which have already hit rock bottom!
Staff that’s more into chatting with colleagues than helping customers
This shop is amazing regarding contents, but many of the staff are not so willing to help even when I’m trying to speak Spanish, they seams more eager to go and chatt with there own colleagues and don’t take the time to show or explained what options you have. But now and then you met one or two who really wants to help and understand what you need and are willing to take the time to tell you about what options there are. so whenever I meet this people - Leroy Merlin have my 5 stars. But to bad it just happens 1 of 5 times I go there. A shop with so many international clients should learn there staff to be patients and not ignoring people who don’t speak fluent Spanish.

Bought a rug that showed factory defect within first few weeks. LM refused to help (wouldn't even provide me an hoja de reclamaciones when I asked multiple times). Escalated to OMIC and they refused to mediate.
