EUR-Lex developments: May 2015
From May, you can discover the following improvements and corrections:
- Result list
- To easily distinguish consolidated versions of texts, the links giving access to them start with the term ‘Consolidated text’. The same goes for summaries of EU legislation — the links giving access to them start with the term ‘Summary of EU legislation’.
- If a document is in force, the term ‘In force’ appears in the result list, just below the publication reference.
- Information given on the result list (metadata) is displayed in a more logical order.
- When signed in, you can have direct access to the multilingual view from the search result list. To activate this functionality and to set your preferred languages, go to My EUR-Lex — preferences – search preferences, and update the search profiles for which you want to activate the functionality.
- Search
- In the heading Legal basis of the advanced search forms, it is now possible to do a search on a subparagraph of a Treaty article, without having to specify the paragraph.
- Enhancement of expert search to improve searches for relations between documents.
- Possibility to search for ECLI (European Case Law Identifier) via the quick search.
- Possibility to save and bookmark a document in up to 3 languages, using the buttons on top of the multilingual view.
- The bibliographic notice of national implementing measures, national case law and documents belonging to the JURE collection has been enhanced with additional metadata.
- Summaries of EU legislation
- Simplification of the display of and navigation between summaries of EU legislation. E.g. all information about a summary is now grouped under two tabs (Text and All) instead of four different tabs.
- Corrections to the selection of metadata that can be displayed and exported. In parallel, the selection of these metadata has been simplified.
- The website has been further adapted to meet accessibility requirements, e.g. to enable access for visitors using screen readers.
