Welcome to Home Pool Tables, a family-owned business offering top-quality British-made slate bed pool tables at affordable prices delivered and installed anywhere in the United Kingdom. Established in 1974, we started by manufacturing and supplying coin-operated pool tables to pubs, youth clubs, and leisure centres. Our late father helped design the early Super League 7 x 4 pool table, which evolved into the UK 8-ball pool table. By the 1990s, we operated over 2,000 amusement machines and provided snooker table installation, recovering, and refurbishment services nationwide. As the domestic pool table market grew, we shifted focus to producing high-quality tables for home use, with custom design options. In 2016, we opened Scotland's largest Pool and Snooker Showroom in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. We offer a wide range of games room products, including air hockey, football tables, and accessories. We have since expanded into eCommerce and can now offer the same range, customisation and ease of use to anyone in the UK. Our experienced team is available to assist with product advice, and we provide nationwide delivery and ongoing support through multiple distribution hubs around the country. One of the things we pride ourselves on is the amount of control and freedom we offer each customer. We stock a wide range of pool table types beyond standard (all full-size) such as commercial pool tables, pool dining tables, outdoor pool tables and foldable pool tables. All of which are customisable in the finish, cloth type and colour and further details like the legs or corners. The guys from the office to the guys putting the table together was first class, the two lads who delivered and put the table together were so professional and were giving great advise on looking after the table and accessories. Love the table.

Outdoor pool table delivery
Kept updated on expected delivery date which was met. Installation service was fantastic, the team doing the job were very professional and explained everything I needed to know about after care and the best way to look after the table. Left the area clean and tidy and removed all packaging. All I needed to do was set the balls up and was ready to play. Fantastic service from start to finish.

We had looked on line at pool tables and had almost decided on the one we wanted, but after visiting the Hamilton showroom, we were 100% sure what we wanted. Olly talked through the options with us explaining the differences in each table. Very happy with our visit, looking forward to having the table delivered and the hours of fun that it will bring.

Fantastic
I was looking to get my snooker table recovered and the process from start to finish was excellent. After emailing Home Pool Tables Direct, they got back to me quickly and provided the relevant information on what would be the most suitable cloth for my table. Olly kept me informed on what would happen and managed to provide a slot for the work to start. On the morning the engineer called to let me know he was on his way and would arrive shortly. Jimmy arrived and he was a really likeable person and he talked me through the recovering process and how long it would take him. In my opinion he is a true professional and a credit to the company and what a job he did. No mess at all and delighted with the end result. Thanks Jimmy!

Placed an order for a premium pool…
Placed an order for a premium pool table on behalf of my clients home bar on 22nd of January. We were promised for the table to be with us for end of March/first week of April. We are now in the middle of May. Our clients are disappointed, we are too. The table hasn’t been delivered yet, there had been no updates, the balance was paid in full. Nothing direct about this company.

Thank you for your feedback.
The delay to your order was due to the factory not supplying the matching tabletop sections required to accompany the pool table ordered, with these table tops unfortunately being delayed on a number of occasions. As both yourself and the subcontracted delivery team were located in Northern Ireland, dispatch required coordination through a freight network and pallet delivery service. For this reason, we made the decision to withhold dispatch until the full order could be shipped together securely, rather than risk an incomplete or problematic delivery.
We would also point out that we were not made aware of any exceptional urgency surrounding the installation timeline beyond the original estimated delivery period. Had this been communicated to us earlier, alternative arrangements could have been explored to ensure we met your clients deadline.
An update was emailed to you prior to this review being posted, so it is disappointing to see comments suggesting there had been “no updates” or “nothing direct” from our company. While we fully accept the delays were frustrating, communication was provided and the order has now been completed.
We always aim to deliver both quality products and service standards our customers expect, and while delays outside of our control can occasionally occur, we worked to ensure the order was delivered correctly and in full.

Can't speak highly enough of this business. Bought a table a few years ago, still great condition and value. Had to move house and they did all this too - and as for Jimmy - what a guy, if every business in Scotland had a Jimmy in it this country would be in far better shape.

Bought a Supreme pool table for my pub from Olly and the team at Home Pool Tables Direct. It was my first time buying a pool table and did not really have an idea of what I was looking for. When I explained it was for a VIP private hire function room for up to 20 people, Olly's advice was fantastic. No hard sell, just lots of information for me to consider and the package bought turned out to be exactly what I needed.
Kept in touch throughout the whole process of my renovations for a delivery date, despite me changing this a couple of times, The team where happy to hold the table for me until I was ready to have it delivered.
The guys that delivered, where efficient and professional as they had to deliver to a first floor level.
I could not recommend them highly enough.
