My advice is stay away from this…
My advice is stay away from this business. We had windows installed in January with one being broken by the installer. It's almost the end of June and the replacement has still not come in to be installed. Don't expect whoever works there to answer the phone and if by chance someone does, all they give you is a run-around answer. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau for very poor lack of service and follow-up calls. This has been the worst decision we have made regarding any home repairs/installs.
Needed an emergency window repair
This morning we needed an emergency window repair as the cam in our tip out window broke. I called the Virginia Beach office. The gal on the phone said she didn't have anyone available at the moment. But said she would try and reach someone. She called back and said she was still looking, then called back in another 10 minutes and said, someone will be out there in 20 minutes.
With this hot day we were so thankful that they were able to accommodate us in getting our window fixed. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Installation went great
Installation went great , but when installed they didn't seal the inserts, i have 10 windows that leak in winter can feel cold air coming in, called window world several times said they would send someone out and never did, call more times and get no response isn't worth getting from them to much of a hassle for 10,000 dollars in windows
We just had window cladding done
We just had window cladding done. You better speak spanish because the workerd didn't speak english. They care very little about your flower beds and trees. Many were stomped flat and one tree was ruined and may have to be removed because they cut off so many branches that could have easily been tied back. We were home during their entire visit and would have tied the branches back but were never notified of the need. Additionally, azalea bushes and flower beds were damged..While the work was adequate the workers had no attention to property or detail.
Austin was so helpful
Austin was so nice, helpful, and professional. We love our windows! The whole process has been easy and the customer service is amazing. Thank you Austin!
Had 2 whole house window installs…
Had 2 whole house window installs several years ago. Did a warranty transfer on one house, but the probate court took over 30 days for the house deed to transfer, so window world voided our warranty.
Now they won’t even enter our house when we call about a repair. We don’t expect them to cover any repairs…we offer to PAY them for repairs but they refuse because we don’t have a warranty anymore.
I’ve never heard of such a practice.
And their parts are so weird we can’t get another repair company to fix them. So now we’re just waiting out aging windows and will need a whole house replacement again, and definitely WILL NOT be using window world.
Do not use Window World
I gave one star because I wasn't given the option to choose none.
Window World of Winchester, VA is the absolute worst company for replacement windows and customer service.
We had a total of eleven windows replaced, and there was an issue with each one.
There were nine windows that had issues on the inside. The issue was at the top of the windows. Some of the vinyl part that goes across the top was flush ( which is the way it should be), and other parts had a gap.
There were nine windows that had issues on the outside. The issue on the outside was the aluminum at the top. One corner would be flush , and the other would have a gap.
We had multiple issues with the caulking , both inside and outside. The caulking was not uniform, some windows had gulps of caulk, while others had just a sliver.
When I question these issues , I was told by management that these things happen. Maybe the house is not square. Remember these are replacements. Nothing is perfect. I understand that nothing is perfect. But when you are paying for a product and a service , it should be close to perfect.
The vision of window world is if it is not perfect, caulk it. Caulk will fix it. Not the proper solution.
Wiley and his crew were very efficient…
Wiley and his crew were very efficient and very helpful. They replaced 24 of my windows and two doors and did a great job. I love supporting local businesses!
Terrible customer service
I emailed them twice for a window quote. They never responded!
Terrible customer service. I would never recommend them.
Great Job!
Window World of Tidewater did a great job for me. They replaced several windows and a door on my detached garage. Replaced gutters, drain pipes, and did some siding repairs. Their work was excellent, friendly, and answered all my questions. No complaints! They did a most professional job, and I will recommend them to all my friends and neighbors. Thank you, Window World!
Zero Warranty. Poor installations
I ordered three casement windows May 2025. The sales experience was phenomenal but once the installation was complete, the sales man ghosted me. I hd some issues with hardware so I hd to reach the main office for help. This is alarming should
I have had any serious warranty issues.
Nonetheless, I was happy with the windows so November 2025, I ordered three more for a different room. This time, I ordered a bay window wrap and gutters. The worst experience! The window sill they installed was short so their contractors used what looks like shim pieces on the ends and doesn’t match width of the sill. They also under estimated bay window wrap bc it required removing damaged wood. Cameron was our salesman so when he said $750 for the wrap I stated that was “so low” and asked if that included removing the old stuff and he said yes. When installers came, they only replaced windows and the sill. Then WW wanted another $3200 for wood removal to then wrap. Cameron didn’t even email me to go over details, he just sent me a Wells Fargo credit app after I told Angel (the contractor’s manager) that I’d consider it.
When I looked closer at the window install, these windows each had 4 screws on all the interior trim to hold the screen in place where the first three windows I ordered had clean little notches that lock in place. I was sold two different styles and paid the same price.
It looks like construction or incomplete window install. I sent an email of photos to their sales rep, Michelle after speaking with her on the phone about installation issues and different window features, never heard back from them and it’s been over a month.
My saving grace was paying with an Amex card where once I submitted my dispute, without question, Amex refunded me my money. Window World hired all non English speaking contractors that don’t follow code when they install either. Good luck having them honor any warranty they claim.
I got my money back and won’t ever recommend them and it’s sad bc they claim they represent US veterans but I haven’t seen that they hire any. Veterans are mentioned on paper and that’s about it. Sad because they advertise good products but bad installers will destroy product quality every time. Sadly you will not get that here unless they change that. I was hoping to have them renovate my house over time. I will be going to either Home Depot or Pella direct. Save your money and time.
Rick and Tara from the Somerset
Rick and Tara from the Somerset, PA. Window World installed 4 windows in our older (1930) home. They are both hard working, never stopped and did an excellent job. They both definitely knew what they were doing and completed the work in about 4 hours. GREAT PEOPLE AND GREAT JOB.
My 6 months window and shutter ordeal
Upon an agent visiting our home to see and hear about their expertise about windows I feel the agent was less than forthcoming about the type of windows we were getting. We talked about black grid windows but, he mentioned they make two-toned windows black looking from the outside and white on the inside. Not really showing us an example of this type of window but, he did bring in a white gridded window showing how strong, how easy to clean their windows are. Never doing this type of installation before wish I had asked more questions. We agreed on the two-toned windows. The agent didn't say any down sides to the two-toned windows. Also no mention from the agent that the windows I picked out had full screens the size of the whole window and that they had black color screening. I had no knowledge of this type of screen until installation happened. The window replacement installation 17 of them took place in July 2025. Several days to what I thought would complete the whole installation. But, took much longer with correcting flaws. The workers were very sloppy not putting down any tarps down inside the rooms of the house that had windows. Black glue droplets was found imbedded in some of the rooms that had carpet. Some of the windows the caulking was very slopped on. Some of windows that was being replaced were piled up in my front yard over night a day or two where a huge patch of grass died. After the window installation was done came the new shutters to be installed I guess the third or fourth day each time being sent different workers to finish and never having enough pegs to install the shutters. So they used screws in some of the shutters, unacceptable!! Examining the screens of the some of the windows several of the screens had ripples. They agreed also and obliged to replace some of the screens. After several many visits back to my home with different workers to fix the flaws by this time its December 2025. Not too mention a double sized kitchen window that had to be replaced with flaw in the glass an obvious scratch which took weeks to get them to replace it. Left windows with finger prints and decals with sticky residue, if they cleaned them it wasn't obvious me. The second story windows having two arched windows that were left unclean with fingerprints and decal glue. I wish the agent had mentioned from the inside of the house looking outside the windows frame surrounding the window which I guess is a reflection from the black grid on the outside has a green, teal color is obvious looking on the inside. When visitors and family have asked why is there a green teal color look there I have go into an explanation. Yes, well insulated windows and easy to clean only things I give a heads up to.
Window World gets 5-star rating for price & experience
Window World gets 5-star rating for their price and professionalism. I got my 11 windows (whole house) and a sliding door on my deck replaced in Bristow VA. From beginning Henry Valle, Sr. design consultant, helped me decide on the best windows and their price was unmatched, I had 5 other quotes.
Guys, in DC metro region, try to get Elmer Barillas and his crew to install your windows. He and his crew were right on time at work, 15 minutes early and he finished right when he told the work will complete. He is the best, he explained complete process before starting the work. The neatness in his working style is appreciated, by the book.
My new windows look good and feel good and I will enjoy these for years to come.
Professional and Knowledgeable Chris Woods with Window World
I have been looking for new windows for my home. I called Window World and their staff was friendly, resourceful & helpful. Then Chris Woods drove all the way down to my home (mind you 2 hours away!) and was so knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and presented me with so much helpful information that I felt I had found my windows, finally! I can't even begin to tell you how happy about this purchase thanks to Chris! If you are thinking about windows and/or doors give Chris Woods at Window World a call~you will be so glad you did!
Close To Perfect
Our experience overall with Window World was wonderful from the first visit with Sylwester on October 2, 2025 to the installation by Elvis and his brother on December 26, 2025 EXCEPT for one issue.
When Elvis & his brother came to install our windows on December 2, 2025( after we removed all the curtains, shades, accessories etc.) it was discovered that ALL our windows were measured incorrectly and had to be reordered which took another 2 weeks and our installers weren't available until December 26th. We didn't feel like putting everything back up for another 2-3 weeks and then take it all down again, it was an annoyance and aggravating to have no curtains or shades for all that time. When Elvis and his brother were finished installing our windows ( they were unbelievable -cleaned up every day, polite, took pride in their work , and explained everything they were doing, we can't say enough good things about them)- they are credit to Window World. Our one issue was we contacted Tom to ask him if anything could be done in regards to the incorrect measuring, the aggravation we had to go through and annoyance of no window dressings the extra 3 plus weeks- maybe a small savings on our order (5%-10%) off. Tom said he would have to get in touch with Corporate to see if anything can be done. Well it has been almost 2 weeks and no call back from Tom. You would think that the largest window replacement company in the U.S. with sales probably in the hundreds of millions would want to do right by their customer, what's $500-$1000 to a corporation that size- I guess we know the answer to that question now.

BUYERS BEWARE
I had new windows installed at my home on December 24, 2025, and I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from Window World.
First, I was not informed until after the installation was completed that one of the windows installed was not the window I ordered or paid for. At no point during the installation was I made aware that an incorrect window had been delivered or installed.
Second, I am requesting clarification on your internal procedures. Do Window World windows have identifying style numbers or stickers? If so, are installers required to verify that the correct products are loaded onto the truck before leaving the warehouse and before installation? It is difficult to understand how a completely incorrect window—one that was apparently sitting in the warehouse—was installed at my home.
During the installation, a manager named Dave arrived and stated that he was there to ensure everything was correct and running smoothly. Despite this, he left my home knowing that the wrong window had been installed and did not disclose this information to me. His exact words to me were that “everything looks good” and that I should contact him if I had any questions or concerns. At no point did he inform me that I had received a window I did not order.
I completed full payment on the day of installation, prior to the installers leaving my home. Due to the holiday, I planned to contact Window World on December 29, 2025 to address the issue. Before I had the opportunity to do so, Dave contacted me and left a voicemail regarding an outstanding balance. Had he done his due diligence and reviewed the account, he would have known the balance had already been paid in full. Not once in that voicemail did he acknowledge or disclose that Window World had installed the wrong window.
On December 29, 2025, I spoke with Candace, a manager. During this conversation, she initially attempted to minimize the situation until it became clear that I had, in fact, received an incorrect window. I then requested to speak with the Regional Manager, Eric, immediately. Holiday or not, if he was unavailable, I requested to speak with whoever was acting in his place.
As of now, I am still waiting to hear from a Regional Manager. I expect the same urgency and responsiveness from Window World in resolving this issue as was shown when contacting me regarding payment—payment that was already made in full on the day of installation.
This experience has been extremely unprofessional, misleading, and unacceptable. Until this matter is resolved promptly and appropriately, I cannot recommend Window World. Buyers should be aware that unless they have time and money to waste, they may want to reconsider doing business with your company.
I am requesting immediate contact from a Regional Manager to address this matter and provide a resolution.
Window World is amazing!
The crew was courteous, professional, and expeditious with its installation. The crew left the work area as clean as the found it. The actual windows were finished with perfect sealant by the crew. This was the very best experience I have had with a contractor. The windows themselves create a perfect sonic barrier in my urban home not far from railroad traffic, the look amazing and were installed with artisan attention to detail. And my salesman Jay Robins went out of his way to make sure my concerns were met. I will be going to window world next for security doors.
I bought from Window World In Elizabethtown, KY
I bought from Window World In Elizabethtown, Kentucky in October of 2025. They were installed yesterday, I couldn’t be more pleased. The sales rep, Ray Jennings, was exceptional and did a wonderful job of explaining all the options available. He was never pushy or aggressive, just kind and respectful. The installers, Anthony, David and Austin were just great. They weren’t at all disruptive, and very polite.
Of course the process was often noisy, that can’t be helped when using power tools, but the cleaned up after themselves.
I recommend Window World of Elizabethtown to those needing replacement windows, they may not be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

I purchased my home nearly 11 years ago and the warranty from the previous owners transferred over. Window World has been incredible to work with - efficient, timely, professional - the whole team has been a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!
