Very quick and helpful customer service. I'm concerned that the charged subscription is going to be hard to refund. But everything goes so smoothly.

I am starting a new graduate program, and this new app is absolutely wonderful. So I proclaim this tool Best New Partner for New Researchers. It is fairly easy to use, and I love how customer service is so respondent and understanding of issues. I am blown away by this app, and I cannot wait to upgrade!

Facilitate research

As a researcher, I highly advise against using SciSpace. While their marketing team is aggressively persistent when pushing you to upgrade, their customer support completely vanishes the moment a billing crisis occurs.

SciSpace’s subscription models are filled with non-transparent traps designed to confiscate your money:

The Credit Reset Trap: Any unused credits in monthly plans do NOT roll over; they are systematically wiped clean at the end of each billing cycle.

The Misleading Plan Conversion: If you attempt to purchase add-on credits while on an annual plan, the system will covertly terminate and overwrite your remaining pre-paid annual subscription, absorbing its monetary value without any explicit or visible warning.

Account Confiscation: If a monthly renewal fails for any minor issue, the system immediately drops your account to "Basic" and resets your balance to zero, illegally erasing over 1,000+ credits that were fully paid for with hard-earned money.

When these system discrepancies occur, their live support offers zero help, ignores queries, or hides behind automated, unhelpful responses.

To fellow researchers and academics: do not waste your funding or time on a platform with such low integrity. There are now plenty of alternative AI tools on the market that offer far more stable, transparent, and high-trust services. Avoid SciSpace until they fix their predatory billing logic and respect their paying users.

It was a great experience and memorable

I ahve been double billed by Scispace. A yearly fee and monthly. There is no where to get all your receipts for services billed and no platform to get in touch with their customer service.

This is an absolutely horrible tool. It is literally a conning platform. For a supposed research - oriented AI to not even be able to write a literature review section before exhausting credits is shameful. Try GEMINI or JENNA ai. This platform is useless.

Great platform with responsive support. I experienced an unexpected credit deduction that was confusing, but the support team took my concern seriously, conducted a detailed investigation, and resolved it fairly by reinstating my credits. Even though they couldn't identify the root cause, their commitment to customer satisfaction was evident. Would definitely recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience with SciSpace.

I paid $144 for an annual subscription, but my intention was only to use one monthly plan. I contacted their support and clearly explained that I was not asking for a full refund. I only requested a fair partial refund: $144 minus one monthly plan of around $20, so only the unused period would be refunded.

I accidentally left my subscription on auto-renew and was charged for another year. I contacted their support team immediately, and I was honestly amazed by their quick response. They were incredibly helpful, polite, and processed my cancellation and full refund within minutes, honoring their 24-hour money-back guarantee without any complicated questions. It's rare to find such honest and fast customer service these days. Highly recommended!

Overall I liked the idea. However, the full experience was not needed for me anymore. I did forget to cancel the annual subscription, but I immediately wrote to the customer service which helped me out and refunded the year. Thank you!

I took out a one-year subscription with a credit card. Firstly, they do not make it easy for you to cancel. And once you cancel the subscription, they keep charging the card, which I had to deny with the credit card company. This seems fraudulent, if not severely lacking in customer service.

specially for researcher it is very good plateform. it reduces lot of time of literature review. happy to use it.

I subscribed to evaluate SciSpace for academic research. During my first use, a single AI Agent task consumed all of my monthly credits before the task was completed. After contacting support, the credits were restored and I was informed that the issue was likely a temporary glitch.

Unfortunately, the same problem occurred again after the credits were restored. This prevented me from properly using and evaluating the service. While the support team was responsive and eventually cancelled my subscription and issued a refund, the recurring credit-consumption issue made the platform unreliable for my research needs.

I hope the company improves the stability of the credit system and provides clearer visibility into how credits are consumed during AI Agent tasks.
