Switching to Sky Glass FAQs
- - Once your Sky Glass is activated, your old Sky Q or Sky+ equipment will stop working.
- Got Sky Q? Keep your box, remotes, and any mini boxes you have. You’ll need to send them back to us. We’ll be in touch within 31 days with instructions, and we’ll also send you packaging. - - Billing starts when you activate your Sky Glass. Your Sky Q or Sky+ account will cancel automatically. Any overpayments on an old account will be refunded within 45 days.
- Want to change your payment date? You can do that as soon as you receive your first bill. - - When you switch to Sky Glass, some recordings from your Sky+ or Sky Q might not be available.
- With Sky Glass, you can create a playlist to find and save your favourite shows from the TV guide, on demand, and apps. - - To start enjoying your Sky Glass, plug it in and turn it on. Then, connect to WiFi and follow the on-screen instructions.
- It also comes with a handy instruction leaflet in the box to help you get started.
- Got the Whole Home pack too? Set up your Sky Glass TV first. Then, plug your Sky Stream puck into your other TV, and follow the on-screen instructions. - - With the Whole Home pack, you can enjoy Sky TV in any room.
- Plug a Sky Stream puck into any TV in your home, just like you would with a Sky Q Mini box.

Watch Together: Everyone watching must have Sky Glass, Sky Live and relevant Sky TV subscription. Third party subscriptions required for some features. Selected live channels and Sky video on demand content available in UK and ROI only. Sky Live has the biggest range of genres and channels on a watch together service.
Video call: Callers and recipients require Zoom for video calling on a compatible device.
Play: Some games and features require remote control. Other homes require Sky Glass and Sky Live, or separate app on a compatible device.
Sky Stream: Sky Stream also requires Sky Stream Puck and TV with HDMI port. Standard Sky Stream Puck set up fee: £39.95. Order by 9pm Mon-Fri or 3pm Sunday for next day delivery. Excludes Bank Holidays. Sky Stream Pucks are loaned to you at no cost and must be returned when they are no longer registered on your account.

Ad Skipping Add On which allows you to fast forward ads (£0pm for 12 months then £5pm).
Ultra HD and Dolby Atmos Pack required to watch Sky content in UHD/HDR and with Dolby Atmos – minimum broadband speed of 30mbps recommended. £6pm extra. Not all content available in UHD and/or HDR. Content must be optimised to watch in Dolby Atmos.
Whole Home required to watch Sky TV on multiple compatible devices - minimum broadband speed of 30mbps recommended for Whole Home plus one Sky Stream Puck. £13pm extra. Additional 5mbps recommended for each Puck added. Sky Stream Puck (£50 with £39.95 set up fee) required to watch on another TV with compatible HDMI port. Watch on other compatible devices via Sky Go.

Netflix: Netflix Standard with Ads is included as part of the Sky Ultimate TV subscription and allows you to watch on one screen in HD. If you upgrade to the Netflix Standard Add On, you can watch on 2 screens and in Full HD, and Netflix Premium Add On allows you to watch on 4 screens and in Ultra HD. Netflix is streamed via broadband. A minimum download speed per stream of 3.0 Mbps for Netflix Standard with Ads (HD content) and 5.0 Mbps for Netflix Standard (Full HD content) and 15.0 Mbps for Netflix Premium (Ultra HD content) is recommended. Delivery: Sky Glass and Sky Stream Puck will be delivered by courier on the agreed delivery day and someone over the age of 18 will need to be home to sign for it. Sky Glass and Sky Stream Puck are self install. If you return your Sky Glass during your cooling off period, you must pay us a returns fee of £25 which will be added to your next bill.

We will bill you for your existing Sky TV subscription until your Streaming TV subscription is activated. Billing for your Streaming TV subscription will start when you activate Sky Glass or Sky Stream Puck. If you have Sky Q, you may need to send back your Sky Q boxes within 60 days of your cooling off period ending or you may incur a non-returns charge. Any third party subscriptions that you do not pay for through Sky but view on your current Sky platform will not be viewable on Sky Glass or Sky Stream Puck. Any recordings you have on Sky Q or Sky+ will not transfer to Sky Glass or Sky Stream Puck. Sky Store Buy and Keep purchases will still be accessible via the Sky Store app.
