Great trail flight experience. Nice professional instructor!!!

Brilliant facilities and excellent trial flight

Recently did an 1 hour introductory lesson with YAC and although the flying was absolutely brilliant, i was disappointed at the amount of flying i actually did. I seemed to be sat there waiting to have a go for quite a bit of time and expected to do much more. I had watched a number of videos previously of those who had done introductory lessons and they were able to taxi the plane to the runway and do the takeoff which i was looking forward to. Also when in flight, they seemed to be actually flying the aircraft a lot more than i did. The instructor i had was pleasant and polite but dont think he gave me as much opportunity as i was expecting. Felt more like a pleasure flight than a flying lesson.

I was gifted a voucher for my 40th that I had to postpone due to Covid, I’ve managed to take the flight experience and enjoyed every minute. Guided by the expertise of Joe it was a brilliant flight. If it’s something you are considering, I would definitely recommend it. It’s something I’d love to consider continuing to learn.

Had a checkout for self fly hire, really efficient and friendly service. Hassle free, looking forward to self hire going forward.

A great club with lovely, welcoming and helpful staff. Well equipped and maintained aircraft. Easy booking procedures and no nonesense with the rules for self fly hire, unlike most other places.

My son is hoping to be a commercial pilot and has had a very keen interest in planes from a young age. He received a flight experience as a gift and YAC were fabulous. His instructor, Dan, was very informative, they planned the route and Brad had an amazing time - he flew over his school and got a great photo. The weather was awful on their return but Dan was not phased and Brad thought it was exciting (glad it was not me)! Dan explained what my son needs to do to get his licence and that is now his plan. All the guys at YAC were very welcoming and we had a lovely time.

This flight experience was a gift from my wife for my 40th birthday. From start to finish, a really enjoyable experience. On arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff and offered tea and coffee. There was a brief overview of the flight before heading over to the aeroplane. Paul, the Captain, was a really friendly guy. He was great with my kids, letting my son sit in the cockpit. He also took some great photos of the family in front of the plane.

After all the safety checks were completed, we took off in no time at all. After reaching a good height, Paul then instructed me to take the controls. I was taught how to ascend and descend and also to turn us back towards the runway. Luckily, the weather was decent and the views of the rivers, houses, fields, etc. were very clear. After the initial shock of being in control of the plane, it then just felt like driving.

I had a wonderful and unique experience. All the staff were friendly and professional. I felt very relaxed and and at ease the whole time. I would highly recommend Yorkshire Aero Club and this flight experience.

The team was excellent and it was well worth the experience would highly recommend and would go there again

Very good hour with Yorkshire Aero Club, informative pilot answered all my stupid questions, time to take control and allowed to select some personal destinations for a bird's eye view, thanks so much a fun day out for father's day

What an amazing awesome day, from getting there to leaving. The staff in the cafeteria where excellent the food was brilliant and well worth it, 3 meals and drinks for just less than 20 quid. Dale the pilot was fantastic from the moment he greeted us, putting us all at ease, especially my young lad whom was probably the most excited as we arrived, this turned to fear as he climbed into the light aircraft, Dale was so professional and had him reassured in minutes. The flight was for 1 hour but it seemed to be a lot longer, I think this was due to how Dale was explaining everything, all I can say is thank you for a day we will never forget

Excellent adventure, very enjoyable experience.

Fantastic service and you actually get to fly a plane. You don't get bombarded with unnecessary items. Once the pilot lifts off he passes controls to you and mentors you based on how you're flying. Brilliant, don't wait to book go for it now.

Fantastic friendly staff, great airfield can not recommend them enough. Thanks to Dale my son had an amazing time, he is super excited about this journey.
