Staff is super rude, arrogant, not helpful, People are standing in the front of bottle machine and it is always not working does not matrter what time you enter this shop in Neumarkt. I experienced this already 5 times. Had to literally come back with few kilogramms havy glass bottles home, because they were to lazy to empty container. They tell customer to wait 20 minutes in front of it to tell him after that that he has to wait another half an hour.

I was a little hesitant before placing my first online grocery order with REWE Leipzig, and I was initially disappointed by one thing. Only after I had completed my order did I learn that I would need to pay a €5 deposit for the reusable delivery bags. While I understand the idea behind it, I think this should be communicated much more clearly before checkout, as it came as a surprise after I had already spent quite some time selecting my groceries.

That said, the delivery experience itself completely exceeded my expectations.

On the morning of the delivery, I received a clear delivery time window by both email and on my phone, including live tracking. The original two-hour window was narrowed down further, making it much easier to plan my day. About 10 minutes before arrival, I even received an SMS letting me know the driver would arrive within the next 10 minutes.

The driver was friendly, polite, and efficient. He rang the bell, brought everything up to my apartment, and carried around eight bags in one trip. I live on the 13th floor, and although there is an elevator, there are still a few stairs and a short walk to my apartment. I actually felt sorry that he had to carry so much at once. Perhaps REWE could consider providing drivers with a small trolley or cart to make their job a little easier.

I had also received an email the day before saying that, for this order, tips could only be given in cash. As I don't have a German bank account yet, I rarely carry cash, so I apologized to the driver for not being able to tip him. Aftre the order i recieved an email with a link to tip him online, I did try the link, but it confirmed that for this order, tipping was only possible in cash, which I found a bit disappointing, as the driver truly deserved a tip.

The reusable bags also turned out to be much better than I expected. They are colour-coded for frozen, chilled, and ambient groceries, making it immediately obvious which items should be unpacked first, especially on a warm day. I think this is a very smart and practical system, and REWE should highlight this benefit more clearly before customers place their first order.

Finally, everything arrived exactly as ordered. Nothing was missing, nothing was damaged, and the groceries were in perfect condition.

Overall, despite my initial concern about the reusable bag deposit, I was genuinely impressed by how smooth, well-organized, and customer-friendly the entire delivery process was. This was an excellent first experience, and I will definitely order again.

Fresh vegetables

Overall, I’m satisfied with my visit. The store was clean and well-organized, and I found most products easily. I was particularly happy with the freshness and quality of the fruits and vegetables.

However, some shelves were not fully stocked, and a few items I was looking for were missing. The main issue was the checkout process—there were long waiting times because only a few registers were open.

Introducing self-checkout options would help reduce queues and make the checkout process faster and more convenient, especially during busy times.

I feel scummed. Although pretty expensive, I always try to make big shopping by Rewe and exploit the 10% Bonus boost I accumulate in the month. This time I activate a 2.5 euro bonus AND the 10% bonus. After spending almost 400 euro, I found the 2.5 euro only and not the 40 euro of the boost bonus. I contacted immediately the customer care by phone and they told me the first one is active and not the most convenient for the customer (sorry but this is a shame, a customer trap). The operator told me I will be contacted by email to see if the can fix the issue, but no answer yet. If not fixed by end of the month, I will not put a foot at Rewe anymore. Sorry but it not serious.

I do love shopping in this supermarket. I live in Köln and REWE Center’s are always the best choice for me in order to pick smth small for a lunch or for a weekly purchase for a cooking at home. So many variations of products and sometimes kitchen equipment
