Mahbubey Alam

Mahbubey Alam (17 February 1949 – 27 September 2020)[1] was a Bangladeshi politician and lawyer. He was the Attorney General of Bangladesh from 2009 until his death in 2020.[2] He was a senior advocate at the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. He was born in Munshiganj District, present-day Bangladesh.

Alam was hospitalized at a Dhaka hospital on 4 September 2020 with COVID-19. He died four weeks later on 27 September from the infection, aged 71.[3]
