Javier Alva Orlandini
Javier Alva Orlandini (December 11, 1927 – June 1, 2020) was Peruvian politician and lawyer. He was a member of the political party Popular Action.[1] He was the 2nd Vice President of Peru during the government of Fernando Belaúnde from 1980 to 1985.[2] He later served as President of Peru's Constitutional Tribunal from 2002 to 2005.[3]
He wrote several books, including "Responding to the Dictatorship", "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow", the "Vicious Circle", "I Minister", "Word of Honor" and "Yes I swear", and numerous legal articles. The audits, representative legislative, legal, academic and professional are of extensive quality and are recognized by the Peruvian people and their various institutions that have given many honorary degrees.
He was the 2nd Vice President of Peru during the government of Fernando Belaúnde from 1980 to 1985.[2]
Throughout his life he became a Deputy from 1963 to 1968, Minister of Government and Police from 1965 to 1966, Senator from 1980 to 1985 and from 1990 to 1992, President of the Senate from 1981 to 1982,[4] and Congressman from 1995 to 2000.
He ran for President in 1985, but got 4% of the popular vote, losing to Alan García.[3]
