My experience with World4You has been extremely disappointing and has had a direct negative impact on my business.
I have a domain and hosting package with World4You that I use only for a very simple landing page consisting of a single HTML file and for my business email accounts. My website does not use PHP, databases, or any advanced functionality.
In 2024, my website suddenly stopped working. When I contacted World4You support, I was told that the issue was related to a PHP version upgrade and that I would need to pay approximately €60 for this upgrade. I repeatedly explained that my website is a simple HTML page and does not require PHP or a database. After several discussions, their support team eventually restored access to my website and email services without any PHP upgrade being performed.
In June 2026, I received a renewal notice claiming that I had not paid for my domain and hosting since 2025. According to World4You, I must now pay for the 2025–2026 period, the 2026–2027 renewal period, and the €56.20 PHP upgrade fee from 2024, despite the fact that no PHP upgrade was ever requested by me or implemented on my website.
I strongly believe that I paid for the 2025–2026 renewal, but unfortunately I currently do not have access to my account to verify the payment history.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that World4You did not suspend my services throughout 2025 if they genuinely believed that my renewal had not been paid. The website and email services remained active, which naturally led me to believe that my account was in good standing.
I informed their support team that I am willing to pay the legitimate renewal fees for my domain and hosting because my business has been affected by losing access to my email accounts. However, they insist that I must also pay the disputed €56.20 PHP upgrade charge. I have email correspondence from their own support team confirming that my website is a simple HTML site and that the PHP upgrade was not something I requested.
To make matters worse, I requested access to my customer account so that I could review my records and pay the renewal fees directly. Instead, I was told to deal with a third-party debt collection agency, Lowell Group, and I am now expected to pay additional collection fees as well.
Overall, I find this situation highly unprofessional and very disappointing from a customer service perspective. I cannot understand why:
I am being charged for a PHP upgrade that I never requested, never approved, and never used.
My services were not suspended in 2025 if World4You truly believed that my renewal fees had not been paid.
My domain and hosting were renewed for 2026–2027 without my explicit agreement, yet I am now being held responsible for those charges.
As a long-term customer, I expected transparency, clear communication, and reasonable support. Instead, I have faced disputed charges, restricted account access, and debt collection involvement before being given a fair opportunity to resolve the matter directly.
Based on this experience, I am extremely dissatisfied with the way World4You has handled my account and customer support requests.

If something stops working, tech support often doesn't even notice. Websites often start running very slowly, then go back to normal after a while. If your business relies on the site being up and running 24/7, this is one of the worst companies you could choose.

I strongly advise against choosing this hosting company. I initially wanted to support a local business, but this decision has cost me dearly.
When I abandoned my project, I stopped using the email address associated with my hosting account. What happened next was completely unexpected - instead of simply suspending my service like EVERY other hosting provider I've ever used, this company took legal action against me. I received a letter from their attorney demanding nearly €300 for what was originally just a €60 service.
This is exactly why I prefer hosting companies that follow the standard industry practice: if you don't pay, they suspend your service - end of story. No lawsuits, no collection agencies, no legal threats. Just a suspended account until you decide to pay or they eventually close it.
Their aggressive approach is unnecessary and customer-hostile. There are plenty of reliable hosting providers out there who handle non-payment in a reasonable way. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your hosting needs.
Thank you for the great customer service from Manuel at World4you in Linz. Throughout communication with him regarding connecting a domain to Squarespace, he was concistantly helpful and friendly and resolved the issue in the end. Thank you sincerely Manuel at domain support! You are an asset to your company!

I am extremely disappointed with the hosting services provided by this company.
Firstly, the interface is non-standard and extremely difficult to use. It is not intuitive and it takes a lot of time to figure out how to do even the most basic things.
Secondly, the support is terrible. It takes forever to get a response, and even when you do, it is not helpful. You are left to figure out the problem on your own. Need faster support? Pay more!
Thirdly, the prices are ridiculously high. They charge you for every little thing, and the costs quickly add up. It's not worth the money, and there are much cheaper alternatives out there.
Finally, the fact that you have to pay for everything is just ridiculous. Want to get your backup? Pay extra. It's like they are trying to nickel and dime you at every turn.
Overall, I would not recommend this hosting company to anyone. The non-standard interface, bad support, high prices, and extra charges for everything make it a terrible choice. Save yourself the hassle and go with a different provider.

I was costumor for two years. Yet, I do not need the webspace any longer. When I received the information that the contract will run for another year, I instantly contacted the service center to ask if they can withdraw the extension. Yet, I had been one or two days too late. At first I received no answer concerning my request. And some days later they booked another 92,-.
After writing a negative critique World4You got into contact with me and offered to transfer the money that had already been debited back to me.
I had no legal right to this refund. Therefore I am very thankful and changed my criticism accordingly.

I was in need of help in order to get a WordPress development website online under the main domain, Dominik, a technical expert of the company, explained to me what to do and did it at once for me in a very kind and easy, and fast way; so that the website was perfectly running within 5 minutes. We also discovered some little errors at once, that I could solve staying in line. He took his time for my concern and didn't stress at all - for our times something special, I really want to mention, to have the feeling of being attended with calm and professionalism at the same time. Thank you very much!!!

I'm with world4you for over 18 years now and most of the time I was happy with their service.
The price didn't go up high in this time and the service was also good.
I can't say anything negative about them.

Been with them for too many years, finally managed to move away from my .com domains need to get my .at domains somewhere else at well. It's extremely expensive and has bad and unfriendly customer service. I paid so much money to them in the last years and they seem to charge more and more every year.
I've been with them for (too) many years (7).
The service has become costly and inefficient. It seems that all changes they made in the last 3 years a geard towards ripping customers off wherever possible.
The latest change is that customer services have to be paid extra.
Stuff that is included in appropiately working providers all needs to be paid extra at world4you.
And even the base plans themselves are not cheap in comparison !
Latest tip of the iceberg of nuisances : Transferring my domains and hosting away i get a receipt send after transferring away for the next year. Somewhere (where you won't find it) certainly is the clause that says that services may be (but arent' unless you transfer away) billed a month before the extension.
Great job world4you. You have become the best rip off provider with the least service.
Now i changed and pay a third for more actual homepage, speed and including an actual customer service.
Good Riddance !

Ad the above. Another customer service guy now (after the first customer service had already reminded me of their AGB - on month before-cancellation-policy nowhere-to-be-found-in-the-faq) has cancelled one of the above mentioned invoices.
So at least someone is trying to do the right thing there. Let's hope for them that it helps
The company does not care about providing support. I have been hosting my websites for 2 years with them but the only reason for that was that I was too lazy to change. This year I was finally able to cancel my contract and move my domains to another provider. I have never experienced a worse service or product in my life.
Worst customer service experience! They are unbelievable, absolutely don't care about their customers. All they want is to get their money.
I've initially decided the move all our Company Websites away from our US Hosting Providers due to speed issues to a local, Austrian based Provider. It's not even a year that I'm with them and I'm hugely disappointed. Support and communication is super slow, and don't get me started on connecting external domains. It's a nightmare. And the worst, they don't even seem to care.
Worst company ever!!!!
I've been trying to get in touch with them for weeks, no phone support. They haven't answered my emails in weeks. I just got an automatic email response with a ticket number, no one ever got back to me. I am loosing clients every day because I cannot get in touch with them and I cannot access the information I need. I have never ever experienced a worse customer support, corona is NO excuse!!!!!
Slow, outdated looking management interface. Payment process is unreliable, slow and sometimes straight up doesn't register your payment. Ended up paying twice to save myself from having to waste more time with their support.
They will also bill you an extra 10€ fee for delayed payment, even if you are currently in contact with their support.
