Horrible service

I ordered a bunch of products from Thomann totalling around 500 euro. My parcel was lost by DHL, their courier, and will now take an additional 1 to 3 business days to deliver. I asked them to cancel the order to which they replied I can decline the parcel and they will refund me only when they receive the parcel back from DHL. This is piss poor service as I have not seen this parcel as their courier company lost it and this should not be on me. They lost it, how can they legally sit on my money and not deliver anything to me? This is the second time this has happened and I will no longer purchase from Thomann. I was about to order 2 more guitars from them for 1700 euro each but I will buy from a better company. Thanks for nothing

EDIT: I changed my 1 star review to a 5 star review based on the fix for my issue. I got in touch with Thomann via the phone and my lost package issue was resolved and 2 days later a new package was delivered by UPS, the DHL package is still not delivered and useless DHL is at fault. Thomann fixed my issue super fast and very professionally. THANK YOU THOMANN

Terrible service after sending damaged product

I bought an expensive Thon protection case for my Denon Prime Go. It arrived damaged. Thomann gave me lousy service, offering me a store credit for 25e, when -of course- I never want to buy anything from them again. They refused to send me a new one unless I send the damaged case back first but force me to purchase expensive pacakaging material and spend a lot of time to send it back. No acknowledgement of making a mistake. Will never buy there again.

Do not place orders

Do not place orders! The products you order for the "sale" price are not even in stock. Because it is an international order. Your money is gone! God knows when I recieve my refund. Called costumer service. They do not help at all. The cancelled products of mine are still in stock. Really dissapointend in Europe"s "BIGGEST" music store. You can change it to Europe"s lowest costumer service!

Absolutely not recommended.

Having spent thousands of euros (in the past few months alone) I won’t be buying from them again. Here’s why….

I paid full price for a lighting bar but received a b stock item. When I complained I was initially offered less than the difference.

I’ve asked them to explain how this could happen that a b stock item (had missing/broken parts) could be sent as New and they couldn’t give me a reason.

This is tantamount to fraud and I’ll be making everyone aware of this.

DO NOT BUY IF YOU'RE NOT FROM GERMANY

They have rubbish contracts with DHL, so at best, you'll receive your package late.
If it gets lost, as was my case, Thomann takes no responsibility. I located my package 10 days later, 30 km away, thanks to an acquaintance who works at DHL, just when I was about to file a complaint. The funny thing is that the uneducated staff from the misnamed "Customer Service" are the ones who, with all their arrogance, send you an email with instructions on how to file a complaint.

Thomann... after a month of dozens of emails and calls from your low-skilled staff, don't make any more fools of yourself here by replying automatically, pretending to be interested in finding a solution.

Probably the best music store in Europe

Probably the best music store in Europe. They offer an enormous range of products but in terms of varying products and price ranges. On top of that they have a solid product review system making it easy to make sure you buy quality. Never had any issues with delivery either, it's UPS, it works well to the Netherlands.

Products great, change delivery company. UPS is terrible..

The products are great and usually the delivery time is good enough. The problem is UPS. Their website and app are so broken, i need to change my delivery but there's a glitch that makes you sign in to UPS My Choice in order to change your delivery, but then it shows no parcels, then when you want to change the delivery (by searching your parcel via tracking number) it wants you to sign up again to UPS My Choice, i can't because the email is already signed in, but there's no option to change my delivere. It's so messed up. Please change your delivery provider.

So they seem to have a shipping SCAM in place

So, i discovered a SCAM at thomann... they advertise delivery within 1-3 or 2-3 days, depending on shipping method. So I pick 1-3... on wednesday. i did not get a shipping notification, so i ask on thursday if it was sent, and if it might be here on friday.... then i get an e-mail saying that can be the case if I pay 120 euros extra... (all i wanted was it being shipped on wednesday when I ordered, or thursday, so it would be quite on time, knowing UPS)
but what do they do? when I ask that question, they put my order on hold, and don't ship it... so they ship it on friday, just to piss me off and keep my order away from me. So now it will definetely not be on time... seems they have a way of delaying orders on purpose just to be able to upsell 120 euros to just not delay it. The biggest nonsense scam I ever encountered anywhere. And I thought this was a good, and decent company. They lost lots of credits with me now. Oh, and ofcourse, as soon as i get the shipping notification, it says i have to wait 1-3 days... on top...

my response to their response: it was delivered on monday. so if it was not delayed, and just shipped normally it would have been here on friday, without paying 120 extra. the fact that my order was held back to try to upsell me that bullshit amount for faster shipping is disgraceful! you should be very ashamed. So dont say you are sorry to hear about my experience, when in fact you mean that you are sorry you have been caught! I already told you guys on thursday that i didn't want to pay more, it was un-held only by friday, so you were just stalling, and you have pissed me of in the process. scam is the only word for it.

Customer service?

I’ve had several purchases from Thomann, but when something goes wrong they’re just not interested. In my case their delivery partner, DHL, ignored my delivery instructions and chose to place my parcel in a pile of snow next to my door on a main road. DHL did not perform, granted, but I paid my money to Thomann and so my contract is with them. It is up to them to open discussions with DHL, but they steadfastly decline to do so. What kind of customer service is that?

Easy to order when it finally got…

Easy to order when it finally got delivered Late by DHL through no fault from Thomann it was damaged .
Got in contact with Thomann who arranged a free return ticket and the new one was delivered 5 days later.... exceptional and friendly service ...Thanks Steve

DO NOT ORDER FROM THE UK - A TOTAL NIGHTMARE

I can’t express how disappointed I am with Thomann. I ordered a piano three months ago, and it has been nothing short of a disaster. They attempted delivery three times, yet each time they couldn’t provide any timeframe for when it would actually arrive. The only option they offered was “curbside delivery” (in the small print, by the way) which is absolutely ridiculous for a piano! I had to scramble to get my father-in-law and brother-in-law to be there to haul the piano from the curb into the house.

After the third failed attempt, I decided to return the piano on August 22, 2024, hoping for a full refund. It’s now October 20, 2024, and they still have not processed the return! They’ve been holding onto my money this entire time, despite me never even having possession of the piano. This has caused my credit card bill to rack up interest for three months.

To make matters worse, their customer service team has been absolutely apathetic. Every inquiry I made felt like I was talking to a wall. They refuse to return my money, so I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card provider just to get my money back.

If you’re considering ordering from Thomann, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and frustration!

Received another heavily damaged…

Received another heavily damaged guitar, not a mark on the packaging so it was sent out this way. After sending a couple of emails they finally responded nearly 2 weeks later. It then took another 6 weeks to get my refund! I told them in 2 emails I wanted a refund into my bank not a credit note, then I wrote it again in the return form. It was completely ignored. So I emailed again and it took them 10 days to reply. Then they says it would take another 5-7 days to refund my bank account. Terrible company, the worst I've ever dealt with. I asked for the complaints procedure 5 times and I was ignored completely. Awful company, totally avoid them. You've been warned. And please don't reply telling me to email you again, we've done that many times and you don't respond, it's just to look good in trustpilot! Ignorant, rude, liars.... its that simple!

Every muscian knows the advantages of…

Every muscian knows the advantages of the shopping on the German Thomann website. It's a professional, sales targetted, well stocked and well organized selection of equipment. For Dutch residents, the disappointment begins the first time you need service. It doesn't matter to the Dutch "service"point that your JBL speaker that you payed nearly 700 euro's for, died after just 60 hours of operation (and just four months outside of waranty). No, you will have to go through the Dutch partner for service, and that's won't be pretty. They don't seem to want to listen (our speaker looks brand new finside and out after just 60 hrs), and brainstorm a solution. No sir. What you'll encounter is a unwillingness to work towards a solution, let's just hide behind huge service offer fee's and impossible protocol, excellent.

Great webshop, horrible courier service

(Update: Thomann customer service was very responsive, so I changed the rating from two to five stars. They also let me know that I could select a different carrier on checkout, and refunded my money)

I am extremely happy with Thomann, but I have no clue why they still do business with UPS.
Please please Thomann, only use DHL next time. That way, customers know that their packages arrive at the announced date, at the correct address, and that everything is handled correctly.
I never have issues with Thomann parcels shipped with DHL, but UPS delivery causes problems time and time again.

Good supplier , let down by UPS courier .

Hope order arrives tomorrow ok . Every courier service has problems , But the information email from UPS is below standard , even DHL (Amazon) do a better job.

Worst support and delivery system. Buy the product somewhere else

On 12 Oct I ordered a Piano (Yamaha YDP-144 B Arius
) with a bench as a birthday gift. I chose these two product separately as the bundle wasn't available, but they were available separately, and based on their website if the product is available it will be delivered in 2 to 3 working days. I ordered it on Wed and there was no news from them until Monday so I called the support as 3 working days were due. He said because it's heavy we sent it with a special carrier which doesn't have any tracking system and it might take a little more. I called 3 more times afterward in several days and every time he added to the delivery time. finally on Friday they just delivered the bench and not the piano. It's ridiculous they don't know were my piano is. I'm still waiting for my order and the birthday was 4 days ago. so I was there ashamed because didn't have anything to present.
