Might sound weird, but I've always wanted to have a combo of blackout darkness for sleeping, but then being able to wake up to the sun in my face. Automated shades were the only solution I could think of. Love this product so far. No light leakage and best customer service I've ever seen. And has all the automated features I've always wanted. If I want to talk about any downsides, I'd say: 1) Expensive, 2) Setup wasn't the easiest—partly because of how my room was setup and partly because I did it on my own.

I was afraid the sound of the shade opening might wake me up too soon in the morning. It did for the first two nights, but I adjusted and haven't woken up to the sound ever since.

Overall, I'm really happy so far!
