Faulty photobooth hire for wedding
We hired a photo booth through figtek for our wedding but wish we hadn’t given the multiple issues throughout the day.
The photo booth was meant to be delivered between 11am-1pm on the day, which would have allowed us to pick up any issues earlier. Figtek did not inform us of any delays until we made contact asking where the photobooth was. The Photo Booth was eventually delivered and set up by 3.30pm. Our event had already started by then with guests having arrived from 3pm.
FigTek claim that all their photobooths are tested thoroughly prior to being delivered but I found this to be untrue. The photobooth we received was faulty - the screen kept flickering and was hard to navigate. I had to call Figtek on my own wedding day to try to sort this. I spoke to Alex, who eventually claimed that it may have been faulty due to overheating at the previous event it was picked up from. So why was a faulty Photo Booth delivered to our event? They then said they have video proof that the photobooth was working at time of set up. When asked to review it, there was no video proof of the actual screen itself being functional, just the back side of the photobooth and printer.
A technician was sent and the photobooth was eventually replaced with a new one towards the end of the event around 10pm after a few more delays (not surprisingly). Sure, some photos were taken, but given the lack of a properly functioning photobooth for most of the event, our guests could not enjoy the photobooth as much. We therefore requested for compensation.
A call back was promised on the next business day to discuss this further and my personal number was noted down. FigTek never called which I found was rude.
An email was then sent outlining the events and another request for a refund. The reply (by Sean) was quite dismissive and did not address our concerns or requests. So much for ‘priding ourselves on customer satisfaction’.
Overall extremely disappointed with their service at our wedding. I would strongly recommend not to go with FigTek for hire if you are after reliability, punctuality and quality, specially for an important event. Based on their customer service I would probably not go with any of their other products as well. Seems to be a recurring theme dismissing concerns based on other reviews here with no improvement whatsoever.
