10/10 service from start to finish. I had a really good experience with this removals company and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable man and van / house removals service.
The booking process was simple and clear, communication was good, and everything was explained properly before the move. The driver arrived within the agreed time window, was polite, professional and careful with my belongings. All items were handled with care, loaded properly into the van and delivered safely without any damage.
Moving can be stressful, but the whole job was made much easier because the team knew what they were doing. They worked efficiently, did not waste time, and still made sure everything was protected and handled properly. I also appreciated that they kept me updated and made the whole process feel organised from beginning to end.
The price was fair for the service provided, especially considering the quality, reliability and care taken during the move. It is not always easy to find a removals company you can trust, but this company was professional, helpful and reliable throughout.
I would happily use them again for any future move and I would recommend them to friends and family. Excellent service, friendly team, careful handling and very professional overall. Definitely 10/10.

Then two drivers cancelled and so I did not know if anyone was arriving. I only booked for one driver and two arrived and then at the end of the service they insisted I owed them more money than I had agreed to. This was definitely intentional and not what I had agreed. They were also quite rough with my belongings.

I have booked a 'man and a van' service with driver's help for 2.5 hours. I have informed all details, including inventory and stairs access. Their system then confirmed the job and I was charged a deposit. Later on the same day, after reviewing the booking, they said the service I picked was incorrect and not suitable. Because there was stairs access, I should've chosen a professional helper for the driver, also the 2.5 hours wouldn't be enough. Why was a charged a deposit if that was the case? I didn't agree with the changes proposed by them and requested booking cancellation. After being dismissed on the phone and e-mail, they have charged me 30% fine + £25 admin fee of my deposit. So from £94.47 paid, they've refunded me £16.93 with the excuse that I requested cancellation at my own convenience, even though, they accepted the job and took payment and then informed that it wasn't going to be possible that way. So in their head I had to accept their advice and change my booking for something more expensive, otherwise I'd literally loose my deposit. The whole process felt anything but professional. Dodge company! Run away!
We had a very unpleasant experience with JJD vans recently. The driver took us on an hour-long diversion down Oxford street, where we sat still in traffic and ended up back where we started at the end of this diversion. He then tried to pressure us into paying over £100 for the extra time.
The driver was then in a rush to get to his next job, and carelessly shattered our glass tabletop. He promised us that if we contacted JJD afterwards they would compensate us, and that we should pay him the cash and let him get to his next job. However, when I contacted JJD they told me that they wouldn’t pay. The item was wrapped in many layers of bubble wrap, and I provided photos of the shattered item in its packaging and with the driver.
We were scammed on multiple fronts by JJD during this move. Their customer service was also slow and unapologetic, and then they simply stopped replying.

Paid nearly £100 as a deposit through the company’s website (30 December 2025). On the day of the booking, no driver or van turned up. Calls and emails went unanswered for several days.
When I eventually managed to speak to someone, I was given a different email address to use, as the one listed on their website does not work. I was then told they would not have attended anyway because our address was supposedly outside their service area — despite the address being required and accepted during the initial quote process.
Since then, we have sent multiple emails (6+) and are being completely ignored. Our deposit has not been refunded and there has been no indication that they intend to return it.
At this stage we feel scammed, as the company is intentionally retaining our money. We feel we need to now pursue this through the small claims court, where they will also be liable for court fees and costs.
Extremely poor service and handling of the situation. Diabolical — I am holding out hope that this has been some terrible error and they will do the right thing in contacting us to rectify this…

I experienced communication challenges with this service. Early September, I reserved a move with them, paid the deposit, and received confirmation. When the scheduled day arrived, there was a delay, so I reached out to them. They informed me that my booking was canceled because they had no available vans in my area. It would have been more convenient if they had notified me in advance, rather than me having to find out after calling them on the day itself.Now, it's been more than two weeks, and I'm still waiting for a refund of my deposit. Although they initially responded, promising to look into the issue, they have since stopped communicating.
I booked a medium van with JJD Vans on 12/11/25 and paid a £90.30 deposit. After booking, they told me no van was available until 8:30pm. There was no way to cancel online, so I contacted the driver directly. He didn’t attend.
I called their helpline and was told a refund would be processed, but I received no confirmation and no follow-up. When I tried calling again, nobody picked up.
From my experience, the whole situation felt like a scam. Please avoid this company. And if they refuse or delay your refund, contact your bank and open a dispute. It’s the quickest way to protect yourself and ensure this behaviour is flagged properly.
Do not use, avoid at all cost. They arrived 1.5hrs late, unprepared and unequipped. One moving man came, crashed into my gate when I told him not to try to come down the driveway. Then loaded my sofa into the van and tried to demand I pay £700 for his van he crashed. This all happened at 9pm and I had to unload the van alone and did not get my stuff moved.
The WORST company I have ever booked. Called them on the day to see about an ETA as I booked and paid for a 2 hour window, to be told I hadn't sent photos? despite them having an itinerary list...the incredibly rude man who I spoke to, who gave me several fake names told me I had "lied" because when I had sent him the photo's (after being asked) I had more things than in my itinerary list. He basically spent the rest of the day trying to charge me more, giving me different quotes. Told me he wouldn't give me the driver's number because I "would try and pay him more and then the driver would leave the company." I've never heard so much nonsense. Basically, they took my deposit and left me in the lurch on the day of moving. Absolute cowboys, lesson learnt - I booked a Zip van in the end which fit all my large items. JJD vans were unreliable and unprofessional. Avoid at all costs!

I booked a small van and was charged a deposit only to receive an email stating that I should book a larger van instead and my first payment will be refunded. Guess what, my second booking was not confirmed and the first one was! After a lengthy phone call where their employee was actually yelling at me for being in the “wrong”. I wanted to cancel everything and go elsewhere, but guess what. My second booking was magically confirmed so I wouldn’t get a refund and my first booking won’t be refunded either as I’m too late for that. I’m stuck since I urgently need to move. But never ever use this fraudulent company! Please avoid it at all costs, poor service and they are out to get your money. Extremely unfair and unprofessional service.
Absolutely shocking service. This was my third time booking with this company and I will never make that mistake again. I asked for a Luton van because last time they gave me a smaller one, which wasn’t big enough and ended up damaging my stuff. Instead of just confirming I’d get the right van, I got a rude phone call where the rep actually accused me of “stealing company time” because apparently my last move couldn’t have been done in 2 hours. Are you serious? That’s insane and so unprofessional.
Then I was told I couldn’t just pay for extra time if I needed it, even though their site says otherwise. How on earth are customers supposed to know these hidden rules? And to top it off, the rep actually hung up on me.
I’ve asked for a full refund and I’m done with them. If you’re thinking of booking with this company, don’t. They lie, they’re rude, and they clearly don’t care about their customers.
Do not use this service. I booked and paid for a house move on Sunday 28 September. They did not turn up and did not answer the phone (despite me calling 12 times and leaving 2 voicemails). I have not been able to get any response from them in relation to a refund and have received not response to my voicemails.
All I can say I poor communication. I booked a moved with them at the start of September- deposit paid and booking confirmed.
On the day of the booking however, after waiting for some time, I called them up. I was told my booking was cancelled as they have no vans running in my city- which wouldn’t have been an issue if I was actually contacted about this before hand instead of being told after I called them on the day.
Now I have been waiting for over two weeks for a refund on the deposit payment, they initially replied to me, saying they’ll check in on it, but have ceased communicating.
I made a booking with them and provided a full inventory list. They later told me that my items would not fit in the medium van I booked, and they did not offer me any option for a larger van. Because of this, I asked to cancel the booking and requested a refund.

I would strongly advise others to be very careful before booking with this company, as they do not communicate properly and refuse to return money when a booking is cancelled.

The crew were amazing and I really appreciate all the help they gave me, I couldn’t do that by myself. Also very affordable will be using again.
They arrived late (after the last time slot booked) and just dumped the furniture outside the flat and left. I emailed and the response back was a blatant lie. They have good reviews but if you’re workers are tired then make sure you have people who will do the job properly. so disappointing, i paid a lot of money for a service that wasn’t even carried out properly.
