You can simply re-upload the updated document to replace the original file and publish a new version of your content.
NOTE: All the links that you've already shared (Publication link, Fullscreen sharing link and Embed code) remain the same. You will also keep all the historical statistics.
- Go to Publications from the Side Navigation Menu and choose the document you want to update
- You will be directed to the Publishing Workspace, where you can update the publication by clicking the Edit publication button
- Next to the View Live button, click the three-dot menu
- Select Re-upload File
- Select the new file from Upload a file
- Click on Publish Changes in order to reflect changes
Links added to your publication through the Issuu feature Linking will be overwritten during an update. Only links created in the document using a link creation tool before uploading to Issuu will be included again after updating or replacing the document.
When you add links to an existing publication and afterwards put it up for Digital Sales, that publication is actually being re-uploaded. This happens because preview pages are being generated for that publication, and so the previously added links will get wiped out.
Troubleshooting Upload Errors
If you receive an error message when trying to replace a document on Issuu, even after following the re-upload steps, the issue may be related to the document or PDF file you are uploading.
Please read Preparing your documents for Upload for more information.
