I AM FEELING FUNK-AY!
[edit]Strawberry Letter 23
[edit]The 1977 release of the 45rpm single of Strawberry Letter 23 by The Brothers' Johnson was produced by A&M Records with a slightly pink center label (as opposed to the usual buff color that A&M uses), and had strawberry scent embedded into the plastic to make the record give off the odor of strawberries.
A small note which I almost got backwards. A portion of the lyrics to the song Strawberry Letter 23 is as follows:
Stained window, yellow candy screen
See speakers of kite
With velvet roses diggin' freedom flight
A present from you - Strawberry letter 22
The music plays, I sit in for a few
The actual title of the song - as printed on the label and the sleeve of the 45 which I still have - is Strawberry Letter 23, which I suppose implies that this song is the response to her Strawberry Letter 22. I had originally thought the song said Strawberry Letter 23 and was named Strawberry Letter 22, which is the exact opposite of what it actually says.
"Tomorrow"
[edit]The Brothers Johnson did not write the song "Tomorrow" for any Quincy Jones album. They wrote the song and performed it as an instrumental for their own album, the same one that featured the original "I'll Be Good to You" and "Get the Funk Out Ma Face." When Quincy Jones decided to record it, with Tevin Cambpell on lead vocal, he had Siedah Garrett write lyrics to the Johnsons' melody. Misterdoe 21:08, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Page Name Change
[edit]Can anyone instruct me on how to change the name of this page from "Brothers Johnson" to "The Brothers Johnson". The name of the band was "The Brothers Johnson" and should reflect this. BBODO 17:13, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Improve article
[edit]I think the article is looking pretty decent now. I think if anyone is willing to put the work in then it needs citations to improve it, also a fleshing out of their style and their members (the former members are just listed in the infobox, thats it).
AC/DC is a good article about a band so draw inspiration from that.--EchetusXe (talk) 00:42, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
