[edit]He is the endorsed Labor candidate for one of the safest Labor seats in Australia, and will certainly be elected whenever the election is held. This article shouldn't need any further justification than that. Intelligent Mr Toad 09:35, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
Neutral statement
[edit]I have been reading Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View article, and it seems to me that the following sentence is holding a stance that isn't supported by a third party. Also, from my reading of the site guidelines, this would also make it original research. The sentence is:
"Since Blaxland is regarded as a safe Labor seat, Clare was almost certain to be elected in the 2007 federal election"
Would it be better to say that "Clare won the safe Labor seat of Blaxland in the 2007 Federal election"? This would state the facts accurately and not assume a supposition. - Letsbefiends (talk) 11:05, 26 June 2012 (UTC)
- As nobody has objected for several days, I have made the change. - Letsbefiends (talk) 01:52, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- That would be because it isn't a controversial change. Timeshift (talk) 06:59, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for your comment. I thought as you had reverted my previous talk page comments that I might get reverted and I didn't want to cause problems on this article. - Letsbefiends (talk) 09:32, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
- That is because one is not a suitable contribution, the other is. Timeshift (talk) 23:40, 29 June 2012 (UTC)
