Gucci loafers failed on first wear — two months to reject my claim

I purchased a pair of Gucci loafers through Miinto. My husband wore them for the first time on a single outing — a taxi to the airport and a walk to the departure gate. The stitching on the saddle strap failed on that first wear.

I raised a complaint immediately in March. It took Miinto over two months to respond.

Their response rejected the claim on the basis that the shoes showed signs of "extensive abrasion", "deep leather creasing", and "frequent and heavy use." This is factually wrong. The shoes had been worn once. A taxi and an airport walk.

For context: my husband bought these as a direct replacement for an identical Gucci loafer he had worn regularly for two years. He knows exactly how to wear and care for this style of shoe. The previous pair lasted two years of normal use. These lasted one outing.

Minito had the shoes in their physical possession and still produced nothing more than vague speculation — no independent expert assessment, no technical analysis of the stitching failure. Just assertions. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the burden of proof lies with the retailer, not the consumer. They made no serious attempt to discharge it.

They have since returned the shoes to us. A chargeback has been filed with our bank. Trading Standards and the relevant ADR scheme have been notified.

Avoid this company if you are purchasing anything of value and expect to be treated fairly if something goes wrong.

We have since shared with you the official financial documentation confirming the transaction, including both the Sale ARN and the Refund ARN, which you can use to trace the funds directly with your bank.

We acknowledge that communication in earlier interactions was not as clear as it should have been, and we sincerely apologise for that. Once we involved our finance team, we were able to provide full documentation to support your case.

As the refund has been completed on our side, the next step is to present these ARN references to your issuing bank and, if needed, open a formal transaction dispute — this is standard procedure and your bank will be able to trace the incoming funds using these references.

Gaslit me after I returned shoes after home try-on

They gaslit me after I returned a pair of shoes that I tried on at home. Tried on for five minutes. Then provided pictures and said there was too much dust on the soles and a slight water mark which could not have happened during an in-home try-on. They were probably rejected by someone else prior to me or slightly worn before i received them. They sent them back to me but I refused to pay the import duty. I've researched that they have been known to do this with other patrons. They are trying to protect the small owners that they help to facilitate sales but it's dishonest and wrong.

We take claims like this seriously. All returned items are thoroughly inspected upon arrival. While we understand your frustration with the condition noted on the soles, we stand by our inspection process. That said, we’re happy to take another look if you’re willing to share the order details.

I ordered a pair of Gucci glasses and…

I ordered a pair of Gucci glasses and then I read the reviews on trust pilot and I was skeptical. The reviews were not good. I reached out to them asking for a certificate of authenticity. For my glasses and they told me when I receive it. I will get it and if I need anything further to reach out. I received my package yesterday and I can tell you these are real Gucci glasses. I have several other pair of Gucci glasses. I ordered them on Friday, and they came Saturday. I will patronized, this company again because I had a great experience.And they have quick response with customer service.Thank you thank you thank you.

Despite their claims to sell authentic…

Despite their claims to sell authentic designer merchandise from verified boutiques, in the case of their Casablanca t-shirts sourced from a boutique in the Lyon-region of France….the lie-detector test(reputable third party Authenticator) determined that was a lie.

When you message Miinto about the situation, you end up getting AI chat bot message responses. No one real.

Perhaps some of their merchandise they source from their supposedly verified resellers is authentic, but how could you know? How could they know? They don’t authenticate each piece. They are just an intermediary.

Hoped for better.

Terrible customer service and delivery

I paid for an item that was delivered to the wrong address in New Jersey and never reached me. The situation required repeated contact with customer service, with no efficient resolution. Instead of taking ownership of the shipping error, the burden felt placed on me as the customer.

This was an extremely frustrating experience, and I cannot recommend ordering from this platform based on how this was handled.

Tom in customer support was amazing!

Tom in customer support was amazing. I accidentality got a incorrect item and wow so responsive and helpful it was more than resolved to my satisfaction, left a happy customer. I am a big online shopper of their competitors like Farfetched and Cettire.. they are head and shoulders above in customer care response.

Unclear Customs Fees and Limited Customer Support

I recently made a purchase from Minto and was charged a customs fee. Since my order was under $800, I wasn’t sure if this charge was correct. I reached out to their customer service for clarification but haven’t received a response yet. I hope Minto can improve communication and provide clearer information about customs fees in the future. Overall, I like their products, but better support would make the shopping experience much smoother.

Good Suit, need better shipping box

Online experience was simple, shipping was pretty fast. Only issue I had was the box it was shipped in.. you would expect the items to be shipped in a more structured box since the suits cost over $1k each. The package arrived with such a flimsy box that even DHL had to reseal it. Beside that everything went well
