Leading cause of their customer support is the customer support they didn't get.

After 3 days of trying to order a loyalty card, I give up. Required verification of my email led me to A change of password page. Told phone support what the problem was and they asked me what the problem was. To useless to even to listen. 3 days and no reply to emails, so I try the phone again. Interrupted before I could even say what my problem was. Rude, and uselessness likely the cause. Checked AI to see if they had any customer support reviews. They did. They said stay away. The leading cause of people using their customer support was the lack of customer support on another issue. Well done. Now we know why they call you "Crappy" tire.
Day 4 of no support, no reply. And link still incorrect. All for a loyalty card and their loyalty to me is what's missing. And all the other customers trying to reply. Obvious they have helped no one for at least the 4 days the link has been broken.

Still haven't had a reply to an email. Called the local store to see if they could help, they couldn't. called support again. Asked why no one would do anything for me. She told me i can apply in store. Their web page didn't tell me that. The store didn't tell me that. I hope they don't think I'm stupid enough to drive over to find out it's just another lie.
Day 5. Finally had an email asking me to call customer support who have done nothing for me. The agent tried to gaslight me that I was the only person who had called or emailed to report the broken link. I called her our for being a liar and said she could help me. Just lied to me and after 5 days of nothing I'm supposed to believe this liar was going to help me. Told her fix the broken link. Support has shown me they are happy to do nothing for the customer and happy to lie on behalf of of their corporate massas. Simple equation Useless customer service that I am no longer going to deal with. The fact they won't fix a broken link to make it easier for the customer further supports my theory that traps are deliberately programmed into the software so that nothing can be done without somehow being forced to give your pound of flesh to these useless clowns. Fix the link, you have a customer. Feed me lies and uselessness and I won't go back.

8 days later I finally get 2 replies to the many emails I've sent. Both said to call for support. Why even have emails other than to further delay the customer support by 96 hours as I waited for a reply to the emails you don't answer anyway. And each of the calls I made for support provided a different answer, and none were right. 5th agent I called hoping to escalate the issue wouldn't allow me to. Insisted she had the answer. Told her it no longer mattered. I wasn't chasing another liar. Why don't they just do your jobs.

Finally someone says they will help. @ weeks later still no card. I call again. They can't find me under my name, phone number or email. Thanks for the loyalty CT. I'm sure you know by now what you can do with it.

Called again today. triangle rewards was unable to continue, get transferred to CT Bank. CT Bank asks me why I'm calling them, they don't handle that. He transfers me, apparently to Triangle rewards. I get someone who transfers me to someone else. Obviously I'm pissed at this point after 16 days of incompetence. This one doesn't like that I'm pissed and hangs up on me. I call again, Triangle unable to continue, get CT Bank. Again. I tell him the situation. He asks me why Triangle was unable to continue. That was it. Now they want me to do their job. I likely have as much training as these clowns do, but wasn't doing their job for them . Told them that's, I'm done.

6 weeks later, and still no card I found the time to wait for an agent to escate the situation . Got a longer wait.

The agent lied to me about having applied 3 times for a card. Said she could find niothing under my name, email addy or phone number. Finally i get whoever handled escalations, likely a mangager. Told her about all the lies I had gotten over 6 weeks. Tells me her people don't lie. Then we get to the issue of 3 applications and none led to me getting a card. She checks and she finds 2 applications, under my name , for the card. Neither were delivered. Call her out on the previous agent lie and I get again that her people don't lie. No apology for the time it's taken either. All done with them now. Not like there isn't other stores carrying what they sell. I wanted to keep my business with a Canadian company but why should I when they care one iota about helping their customers

I took them back to Canadian Tire and they were good enough to replace the Damaged wiper Blade. This is the most outstanding customer service I have received from Canadian Tire. sincerely Ron Brown

I was at the Beacon Hill Canadian Tire…

I was at the Beacon Hill Canadian Tire in Calgary and was approached by a woman named Charlotte. She asked me right away if there was something she could help me with and was very friendly. I had just found the item I was looking for prior to her approach. She was very friendly and wanted to assist. There have been times I didn't receive any help nor could I find anyone. It seems there have been some improvements. That's good.

Excellent customer service at Canadian Tire Calgary Dalhousie

Title: Excellent customer service at Canadian Tire Calgary Dalhousie

Review:
I recently visited the Canadian Tire store in Calgary Dalhousie and was helped by a young employee in the paint department. He was incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive – one of the best customer service experiences I have ever had!
It was such a positive and refreshing encounter that I left the store with a very good feeling.
Canadian Tire should be proud to have such dedicated and professional staff.

Caveat Emptor

I have shopped at Canadian Tire for years for various items BUT "buyer beware" of some of the cheap junk they sell and the employees who basically know Nothing about those products because they have NOT been trained on most of them. Some of this junk is made in China; have No directions for use; some cannot be opened without a screwdriver such as their thermometers and even the staff can't open the battery storage compartment. THIS COMPANY should be "buyer beware" in all departments and includes the Auto Department where I am told the mechanics are ON COMMISSION so they get paid to find or create problems with your car. BE CAREFUL

Terrible experience with my VW T6…

Terrible experience with my VW T6 campervan’s import inspection from the UK. I was never informed that Canadian Tire doesn’t service diesel vehicles, yet I was charged $180 for an inspection they couldn’t help me pass. I was told to fix the issues elsewhere and return within 30 days for a $45 reinspection fee.

After getting repairs done, I returned, only to be told the right reverse light still wasn’t working and that the top middle brake light had also failed. I was then charged a shocking $640—despite VW vans in Europe only having one reverse light! Either they didn’t know this or took advantage of the situation. Worse, the brake light was returned with visible damage, as if someone had forcibly removed it.

This van has deep sentimental value to me as it belonged to my late father, making this whole experience even more upsetting. Either someone broke the light or it was tampered with while at their shop, and I was unfairly charged for it. Stay away if you expect honest inspections and fair service!

I was in Canadian Tire Chilliwack a few days ago. The girl, Jodi at customer service was so good at helping me. Not only did she assist me but she made me so comfortable, She knew store products She was so professional at what she did. I asked her how being a manager at the Chilliwack store was. I was disappointed to hear she is a clerk. I was so impressed with her professionalizing everything she did. From helping other staff to customers.

Just awful

Just awful. They didn’t even *have* the item I paid for, and for pickup they substituted a random blue shell for a heavy yellow storm jacket. Not the same parts-title, not the same SKU or CanTire inventory part-number. Then when it was refused, as not being the item ordered and promised for pickup, they could not manage to refund to the credit card used — they gave a credit on a different card, different owner, my friend picking up had. Bumbling all the way downhill.

I ordered a TV online which was on sale

I ordered a TV online which was on sale. I was going to pick up at this store : Laval, Ste-Dorothee, QC. After waiting for ten days with no updates they suddenly cancelled my order and I had to call customer service to find out what happened. I was told that the sale was over and I could order the same TV at original price and there is nothing they can do about it. I will never shop any big items at your store again.

The worst now with layout/checkout…

The worst now that they have made their checkout line like IKEA, a maze… and forget getting to the garden center after going into the store! Wow. I told them in person they lost business tonight! I wanted to get items in store and the garden center. You cannot get to both without going through the maze to checkout in store. Then you take the extra time walk or drive (depending on your physical capabilities or are your children screaming at you?) to go to the garden center and turns out you cannot get pots/plants in the same place as soil?!?!??? I would have to pay and decide upfront without seeing the soil./sand/mulch I ditched my cart of pots and said forget this! If I wanted to buy something without seeing it in person I would just shop online. I was so frustrated after tonight’s experience. One store to get items but 3 different areas to get items!!!! No thanks!!! A nightmare now. I hate having to go to Canadian tire now!!

I have been shopping at Canadian Tire…

I have been shopping at Canadian Tire for over 50 years. Always looked forward to receiving their flyer. But over the last few years with contrasting colour schemes and miniscule printing, it is unreadable. This as opposed to flyers from other retailers which are readable.
Their product reviews and product questions and answers leave much to be desired. Leave a negative review and it will most likely be rejected for not conforming to their terms and conditions. Just asked about availability of a product and my question was rejected. Two days later the Canadian Tire team answered the question by stating that they did not carry the fuel filter for my 99 Mercury. In the meantime I had already purchased the filter from the local Canadian Tire.
I answered their reply this morning by responding that they do in fact carry the fuel filter for the 99 Crown Vic/Mercury Grand Marquis. Will they publish my answer?
Bottom line is Canadian Tire has great prices and warranties. But they could improve sales by improving their flyer and website.
Sku 023-3629 $10.
Motorcraft G8018 $64. Must be gold plated.

Poor Customer Service

Drove an hr to get a cabinet that was on sale with only one day left for sale. Advised it was in stock, then said it was at the warehouse which is off site. Come back in half an hour but first I had to pay for it before they would go get it. Went back about an hr later. They couldn't fine it. Come back in another hour. Returned to find out they still couldn't find it although it showed 1 in stock. Come back Friday....($1.63/litre for gas). Truck due in 9 am Friday with 9 on board. How do I know that it will have a cabinet. Couldn't guarantee but only would get sale price if I didn't get a refund. Could get a Rain Check but not for another location if it was paid. I noted this: if I ask where an item is in the store they can tell me within seconds what aisle it's in....why can you not find a large item like this in your warehouse. Unable to answer as she had never been in the warehouse! Unbelievable. In order for us to get this cabinet on sale we had to leave our money with them. Just poor customer service. They need to organize the warehouse. The store was in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia.

My vehicle was booked in online for…

My vehicle was booked in online for repairs, I was called on Monday and told this is what is required to fix it we don’t have the parts, come pick it up. Ten minutes later I was called back and told parts were there, should be finished Wednesday. I call late Wednesday afternoon for an update and my car hasn’t been touched! It’s still sitting in the parking lot. I get an idiot mansplainer on the other end of phone interrupting me every time I try to speak. I was told car should be done Friday.
I call back Thursday and get the idiot mansplainer again ( dear god) talking over me and treating me like I have done something wrong by wasting his time. I asked to speak to the manager who told me I didn't speak to another person on Monday, nor was I told the car would be done by Wednesday. I told him his customer service was horrible and the man I kept dealing with kept interrupting me - he didn’t care.
I’m about to go pay a lot of money to them but it’s the last time.
I recognize they get difficult clients but they all need training in customer service, dealing with the opposite sex and listening skills. They also need all the vehicles in their households removed for five days to get some understanding of the difficulties.
I still don’t have my car.

I took my car for a flat tire repair at Two Nations Crossing North Fredericton, NB. They put air but never repaired the flat tire. The air lost overnight and when I complained to Manager. She was arguing instead of apologizing. it seems they put profit people, taking customers for granted. The Manager is very dishonest and the whole staff of auto repair service is thief.

Canadian Tire Auto in Northland area in Calgary

I went to the Canadian Tire Auto Service on Dalton Drive in Calgary today at 8:00 am to get a vehicle turn signal bulb replaced. I booked the appointment last night.

I had to wait 45 minutes for work that takes 15 minutes at most. I was charged a whopping $68.21 which included $5.36 in shop charges. What shop charges are involved with replacing a bulb? I provided the correct bulb myself.

I looked inside the garage on a couple of occasions and noticed that no one was working on my vehicle. Perhaps they were trying to make it appear that the work was taking a long time.

Also the waiting room was dusty. No TV, no coffee. Chairs felt like they had not been steam cleaned in several years. Not a senior-friendly auto service. Next time I need auto service, I will choose a local, independent, reputable garage. In my opinion, Canadian Tire ain't what it used to be.
