Look elsewhere for extended warranty for your vehicle

I had two claims with them. On the first claim I learned that they set their own shop rates for reimbursement and weren’t willing to pay market rate. The second claim took nearly four months, I’d say appx 1 month was reasonable admin, appx 1 month was repair time in the shop, appx 1 month was waiting for Autopair and the dealership to communicate and appx 1 month was waiting for payment….so my main complaints with the Autopair process are:

1. Communication between Autopair and my dealership that ultimately required my intervention as Autopair said they couldn’t get an answer to their question about my car from the dealership and
2. The time between approval of payment by Autopair and issuing of payment by Autopair
3. The number of times I had to phone them to move the process along (it was almost daily by the end with calls often dropped and not returned when promised). Seems like the whole phone centre only has two employees there. Shawn is the claims guy and while he was understanding and pleasant to talk with, difficult to reach at times.

Would recommend to anyone!!!!

I recently had to file a claim for my jetta with Autopair, and the experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I initiated the claim, the process was seamless and efficient. The portal was very easy to use and they made filing a claim super straightforward.

I primarily interacted with Ryan, and Jay who were incredibly helpful throughout. What impressed me most was the fast approval of my claim, for such a large repair without any hassle. Although they did require further photos and testing of my turbo but they communicated directly with the mechanic for that

Car repairs are super stressful, but Autopair made the process straightforward and stress-free. I highly recommend their warranties to anyone seeking reliable and efficient warranty support.

Long wait times

Long wait times, took over 1 week and several messages to Shawn. Provided all maintenance records and quote for repair. When I purchased this plan i asked specifically if seals were covered and they said "Yes". Well a seal went, it was not covered. their response was "Notice how the part is very cheap, it’s just more labour-intensive."

do not waste your time on warranty not provided by reputable dealers, especially for higher end cars.

Hi Jason,

Sorry for the time it took for us to receive your documents that illustrated your diligence with maintenance of your vehicle. Yes, seals & gaskets are covered if required to replace when replacing major components of the drivetrain that breakdown. Leaking or sweating seals/gaskets are not covered as they are part of your maintenance. This is the industry standard with all 3rd party warranties. Our records indicate that our Claims Administrator explained this to you. Your vehicle still has coverage as per your warranty contract details.

Claim to repair wheel bearing, Auto transmission line, Axle and Driveshaft

I recently had to file a claim with Autopair Warranty and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the process was smooth and efficient. Shawn was incredibly helpful, guiding me through each step and answering all my questions promptly. What impressed me the most was how quickly my claim was approved. Within a short period, the full amount was approved, and I could get my car repaired without any hassle. Thank you, Autopair Warranty, for making what could have been a stressful situation so easy to handle. Highly recommend!

Glad I had the warranty

I had a problem with the sound system in my Audi Q5 which required a very (or should that be ridiculously?) expensive replacement part. Shawn worked hard to source a part that came in under the $6,000 cap on the policy and saved me significant out-of-pocket costs. Thank you Shawn!
There are some exclusions on the policy to watch out for (diagnostics and workshop supplies) and the response took some time - maybe due to the complexity of the case - otherwise I'd have given 5 stars.

My ford escape was not blowing hot air

My ford escape was not blowing hot air. I called Autopair and spoke to Jay. He advised I take my car to the closest shop to find out what’s wrong with it. The shop said I needed a new heater fan motor. I sent the estimate in and got my approval from Jay 45 minutes later. Jay answered all my questions in one call!! Great guy. My car was back on the road all within the same day!!

Amazing service! Buying again!

I purchased a warranty 2 years ago. I had a claim for the water pump about a year ago. I dealt with Alex and it was quite simple. I just had another breakdown due to my electronic control module. I submitted a claim using the submission portal (very easy process) and my claim was approved and funds were sent all in the same day. Shawn was great and helped me urgently. I just purchased a plan for my mom’s corolla. Peace of mind is worth it.

Blew my turbo

Blew my turbo. My mechanic quoted me for a new OEM turbo. Autopair paid for a brand new aftermarket one and repaired my vehicle. My BMW runs like new again.

From what I remember the purchasing process was very simple and easy.

Thanks AutoPair!!

Company is a giant scam.

Company is a giant scam.

They use language to not pay for services.

In their contact it states they cover harmonic dampers, however in canada shops call this part a harmonic balancer, exact same thing however they wont cover it. Will soon be in the legal process as it seems to be the only way to actually get them to pay. They also will only pay for used parts of same quality, the way the contract is worded they could just replace it with another broken part and they are cleared.

Just avoid. Save yourself the headache and court time.

They will not get back to you in 24 hours as advertised.

Not at all as promised

Website didn't work; Didn't answer their phone or return calls; calls nearly always dropped after finally getting through to the general number; After almost 2 weeks, still no definitive answer as to what they will pay and explanation for what they won't pay.
I'm feeling like I've been scammed for several thousand dollars with this "warranty".

After putting in a claim for my car…

After putting in a claim for my car they failed to respond in a timely manner. I was on the phone frequently trying to reach them. Then my repair shop tried to reach them and again slow to respond. They finally agreed I have a claim but still failed to follow through so I ended up paying for my own repair. I will have to take them to court. I called BBB but they only do the minimum with no resolution. Autopair also told me they won’t pay the dealership labour rate and I have to pay the difference, yet this is not what their contract states. I suggest to stay away. They are very unprofessional and my guess is won’t last long unless they change their ways.
