2022年。もう一年前になりますが、東北芸術工科大学の芸術工学研究科修士課程を修了することができました。「平日ダイヤ」「移動祝祭日」「大歳ノ島」。在学中の2年間でこの3作品を作ることができました。 独学で学んできた映像表現を、学びなおしたい。自分にとって表現はどういう意味を持つのか、表現を研究するとはどういうことなのか。後回しにして、忘れたことにしている自分の大切な想い。その想いと無理矢理にでも向き合う機会を作るために。それが大学院入学のきっかけでした。 働きながらの研究・制作は想像以上に大変でした。新しい職場での仕事が始まりながら、2つ大学でゼミが同時進行していたのも重圧でした。しかし、どれも全力で取り組んだつもりです。これまで身につけたことを一旦リセットして、ゼロから学びなおす意識で、新しい知識と経験を最大限吸収できたと感じています。 指導教員の西村宜起先生との出会いは30年前。当時一
