Inappropriate language

I had always thought that this harmless fun, but I recently heard a swear word in an episode in season 2. I even went back and checked this with the subtitles on and my fears were confirmed. This is completely unacceptable on a programme rated as a U. My suggested age rating is due to this language issue, though I recognise it's been made for much younger children, around 5 years and upwards.

Depends on the episode

I would say it depends on the episode. Some of the episodes display great messages, while others are questionable. Some of the girls can have attitudes (especially the blond girl) I would preview or check the descriptions for some of the episodes. Some of them are : Mias ranch romance Emma’s dilemma Getting out the vote Ratatouille Dive in

Bad

Little children should not be watching this show because they are not mature enough for the violent people in this show. I couldn’t handle this show because it was soo ABUSING.

too much sexualizing of the characters/crushes/cattiness and diva/slang talk for my 6 yr old.

My 6 yr old loves legos, so of course this would seem a perfect fit for her. i am currently watching an episode where the entire episode is centered around the premise of a young girl (are they teenagers - i still can’t figure it out) trying to get an older man’s attention/affections and the friends are all rallying around her guiding her how to get his attention/get him to like her. While i see the friendship/teamwork message it’s leading up to, i take MaJoR issue w the fact that many of these episodes i’ve watched w my girl (this one is the last straw) r centered around this theme. our children have SO much more to focus on at this young age than crushes and strategizing on how to win someone’s affections. I also take MAJOr ISSUE w him seeming MuCH older - he’s a lifeguard who works out, has a full grown man’s voice, and owns a boat he’s abt to take her on (where TF are her parents and WHY the HELL is netflix promoting a grown man taking a young girl on his boat? and her actually getting in w him??!!! now i’m listening to him berate her for making mistakes leading to him getting hurt while she was trying to impress him. turning it off !!! now he’s commenting on her teeth and putting his fingers in her mouth w a dentist tool. what the actual F???!!! Banning my 6 yr old from this show now. last straw. PLEASE Netflix!!! stop priming and sexualizing our children!!!!

Better than Barbie...

My daughter discovered this show on Netflix, and I've watched several episodes with her. I don't like watching a lot of kids shows with her, but this is one that I don't mind. It's good a feel-good message to each episode, with some okay examples of "doing the right thing". It can be a little dramatized at times, but honestly it's nothing I feel is that out of the ordinary for kids t.v. shows. I appreciate that there's no bad language and that there is nothing remotely sexual in this show. Overall, I feel like it'a a better option for my 6-year-old than the barbie movies and t.v. show she always wants to watch, but I'm also sure there are other better options out there I'd choose if it was my turn to pick the show. The predominant theme I see recurring in just about every episode is about being a good friend and teamwork.

Its 11+

I noticed girls in this looks bit grown up and kids showing affection to opposite sex. I guess its not giving anything to kids. Its probably making kids more cliquey or fashion freak or something similar. I don't recommend this ..sorry !

A little too grown up for young kids

My 7yr old daughter loves Legos and has Lego Friends sets so I let her watch the show on Netflix which was a mistake. The girls are dramatic, stereotyped, cliquey and "Barbie-ish". I'm sure there's a well-intended lesson in there somewhere but the drama and their "grown up look" was too overpowering.
