Meet the narrator
Paterson Joseph is best known for his role as Alan Johnson in Channel 4 sitcom Peep Show.
Born in London he now lives in France, with his wife and son, although he returns regularly to film in the UK. Paterson’s beautiful, mellifluous voice has helped him on his way to fame and fortune, but it wasn’t always this way. At school he was, in his own words, ‘monosyllabic’, but at 17 he joined a theatre group and never looked back.
His television credits include BBC series Silent Witness, Waking the Dead, Between the Lines and director Danny Boyle's Not Even God Is Wise Enough. He has also appeared in The Beach with Leonardo Di Caprio, and In The Name of the Father with Daniel Day Lewis. Paterson is a Royal Shakespeare Company regular and has recently played Brutus in a performance by the RSC of Julius Caesar set in Africa.
