We Can Do Hard Things
Life is freaking hard. We are all doing hard things every single day – things like loving and losing; caring for children and parents; forging and ending friendships; battling addiction, illness, and loneliness; struggling in our jobs, our marriages, and our divorces; setting boundaries; and fighting for equality, purpose, freedom, joy, and peace. On We Can Do Hard Things, Glennon Doyle, author of UNTAMED; her wife Abby Wambach; and her sister Amanda Doyle do the only thing they’ve found that has ever made life easier: Drop the fake and talk honestly about the hard things including sex, gender, parenting, blended families, bodies, anxiety, addiction, justice, boundaries, fun, quitting, overwhelm . . . all of it. We laugh and cry and help each other carry the hard so we can all live a little bit lighter and braver, free-er, less alone.

I’d been hearing about this show, but hadn’t really dialed in until the Ross Gay episode. The discussion with him about joy simply resonated 1000%. I am a new fan. Thank you for the work you put into this podcast.
Whoa today a day of unknowing with Mr. Gay on the podcast

This episode made me grin a few times, rewind 10 times and …I took notes …sweet reminders that curiosity trumps knowing again and again… and Ross Gay’s books and his voice are delight.. but not creepy sweet delight but slow careful joy .. from a spot I seldom stand but I want to!

Again clueless about why people did not vote for your candidate. Glennon almost got it for a minute with her comments about dignity for all, not just minorities. And about the wacky messages the Democratic Party put out. But Amanda still self-absorbed thinking that anyone who didn’t vote with her, voted against her. Think bigger. It’s about the issues, not the personalities. It’s about bigger things than race, gender, lgbqt and abortion. Very few people voted to take away women’s rights. Did you hear all the states that voted against the ban. It’s about the Economy. The military. Taking care of u.s. citizens first. Police protection. Illegal immigration. It’s not about the wacko personalities who actually have the guts to run for president. Please help the effort to unite. Stop treating people who didn’t vote with you like they voted against you. For the majority of people it’s not true. It’s delusional.
