Originating from the Canada Research Chair in Socially Engaged Theatre program, ‘Ar(c)tivism and Policing’ is a digital archival project that centres on the potency of protest art, particularly its role in advocating for social justice issues such as policing as in case of Nigeria, bad governance as in the case of Bangladesh, and an array of systemic issues (such as Black Lives Matter and racism and policing) in Canada and the United States. It is part of a larger research project on “Staging Justice in Canada and Beyond,” supported by Theatre Emissary International and its partner, Mobile Research Lab. More details about the social enterprise can be found here: https://www.artivism.ca/about
