The highly anticipated cherry blossom season is here! For a truly special cherry blossom viewing experience, visit Osaka's Expo Memorial Park and ride the great Ferris Wheel known as OSAKA WHEEL, which offers breathtaking views of the cherry blossoms from above!

Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, Expo Memorial Park launched its spring limited event SAKURA EXPO 2025 on March 20. During the event, visitors can admire the magnificent cherry blossom boulevard and the iconic landmark Tower of the Sun within the park.

You can also ride on the tallest Ferris wheel in Japan, the OSAKA WHEEL, and enjoy a 360-degree view of the cherry blossom sea over Osaka and Expo Memorial Park from the 40th-floor cherry blossom-themed cabin.

Highlights of Expo Memorial Park's SAKURA EXPO 2025

Covering an area of approximately 260 hectares, the Expo Memorial Park was the site of Japan's first World Expo held in Osaka in 1970.

Half a century later, the Tower of the Sun continues to accompany the people. Every spring, up to 12 varieties and approximately 5,500 cherry blossom trees bloom magnificently, making this place one of the locals' favorite cherry blossom viewing spots.

This year, the Expo Memorial Park has been newly upgraded, launching the SAKURA EXPO 2025 event.

From March 20 to April 6, 2025, the East Cherry Blossom Avenue, extending about 200 meters behind the Tower of the Sun, features around a hundred cherry blossom trees on both sides, creating a magnificent romantic pink tunnel.

Additionally, a SAKURA Food Market will be held in the park's plaza, gathering 20 to 40 food stalls to delight travelers' visual and taste experiences!

Enjoy a Cherry Blossom Sea from Japan's Tallest Ferris Wheel - OSAKA WHEEL

If you want to appreciate the cherry blossoms at Expo Memorial Park in a special way, ride on Japan's tallest Ferris wheel, the OSAKA WHEEL.

From March 3 to June 30, 2025, the OSAKA WHEEL will be transformed into a "Cherry Blossom Ferris Wheel," allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful cherry blossoms of Expo Memorial Park from a height of 123 meters!
