Seventy-two days after Hurricane Sandy devastated the PATH system, PATH trains are resuming some round-the-clock service Wednesday night, Governors Chris Christie of New Jersey and Andrew M. Cuomo of New York announced.
Since reopening after the storm, the PATH has run only from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., except on New Year’s Eve.
Starting tonight, the PATH will run in both directions from Newark to 33rd Street via Hoboken from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The trains will stop at Newark, Harrison, Journal Square, Grove Street, Newport and Hoboken in New Jersey and make all stops from Christopher Street to 33rd Street in Manhattan.
The trains will also run along that route on weekends, from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Weekday service between 5 a.m. and 10 p.m. will be available on three lines: Hoboken to 33rd Street, Journal Square to 33rd Street and Newark to World Trade Center.
