Having grown up with the bright lights and grease paint of off-off Broadway theater in New York, I moved to California to try my hand in films and ended up getting a master’s degree in Philosophy and Religion. In 1995 I founded an alternative ritual performance company and served as the company’s Artistic Director for eight years, until sanity got the better of me and I choose to take a sabbatical to catch up on my writing and sleep.

After my sabbatical started we discovered the Gods were looking out for me, in an ass-backward sort of way. In early 2006 I started getting sick all the frakking time. After a year of the flue I was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, also known as Environmental Illness. That pretty much turned my life upside down. So lots of the filtered part of this journal is about learning to live with a chronic illness and still be *me*.

In my “free time” I’m a wife and a mother. So far the kids haven’t reported me for lack of attention and the husband still speaks to me – so either I’m not writing enough, or they’re as crazy as I am.

This being my journal, I get to be messy, cranky and unpleasant or giddy, silly and fun when I want to. If that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, then this isn't the journal for you. If it does, then drop me a note so I can come open the door!

Much of the material in this journal will be personal, some of it NSFW, some of it dealing with Pagan and alt-spirituality, and of course chronic illness and pain, so if that's not your cuppa' tea, then I recommend you find somewhere else that works better for you.
