   <media:description>Are you wondering how to get rid of sciatic nerve pain? Learn how to get sciatic nerve pain relief with four simple nerve glides guided by Doctor of Physical Therapy, Karena Wu (IG: https://www.instagram.com/activecarephysicaltherapy/).

The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in the body, running from the lower back all the way down through the hips, legs, and into the toes. When it gets compressed or irritated — from a herniated disc, arthritis, or poor posture — you can feel pins and needles, numbness, tingling, or sharp shooting pain all the way down your leg. These four nerve glides and nerve flossing techniques are designed to calm that irritated nerve and restore relief, including a sciatic nerve glide seated, sciatic nerve flossing and lying down variations. We'll teach you how to floss sciatic nerves.

00:00 Introduction
01:30 Move 1: Knee to Chest
02:36 Life Hack 1: Side-Sleep Hack
02:50 Move 2: Ankle Pumps (Lying Down)
03:56 Move 3: Ankle Pumps (Targeted)
05:38 Life Hack 2: Desk Leg Flex
05:49 Move 4: Kick Your Head Off
06:25 Outro

As a general rule, these moves should start to feel better as you work through your repetitions. If your nerve pain increases at any point, reduce your range of motion or stop and rest. These exercises are also helpful for sciatic nerve numbness in the legs and lower back pain.

If you're not experiencing nerve symptoms and your lower back is just stiff and achy, check out our lower back pain video linked here: https://youtu.be/Nv0YKdfuo-k?si=TjXnE-4cPBQFNb9l

   <media:description>Our social team tested one of the most anti-social media products on the market. 📵

Working in social media, we’ve always had a built-in excuse for our screen time.

&quot;It’s research.&quot;
&quot;It’s trend monitoring.&quot;
&quot;It’s literally my job.&quot;

But somewhere along the way, social media started to fill our free time too, and just willpower to log off wasn’t cutting it. 🤳

For two weeks, our team tested the Brick — a device that locks you out of selected apps unless you physically unlock them. This was a true experiment (not sponsored), where we tracked our screen time alongside habit, mindset, and mental health shifts. We didn't really know what to expect, but the goal was to separate intentional use from automatic scrolling.

The result? Less doomscrolling, better sleep, and a very humbling look at our screen time. Our team was pleasantly surprised that the Brick actually seemed to make a difference. Go to the link in our bio to read the full review 💬

   <media:description>😴 Is the Sleepy Girly Mocktail the new sleep aid? Made with magnesium bisglycinate, tart cherry juice, and sparkling soda, it promises better rest — but is that really the case?

Here's what our testers experienced:
🌟 Kristin says, &quot;I felt it kick in within an hour. I started yawning hard&quot;
🌟 Ginger says, &quot;I didn’t notice any effects in the minutes and hours after I drank it, and I didn’t notice any change to my sleep that I could confidently attribute to the mocktail.”
🌟 Catherine says, &quot;Most nights I tried the magnesium mocktail, I started to feel calm — not outright sleepy, just mentally and physically relieved&quot;

The verdict? Sleep isn’t one-size-fits-all. While it works wonders for some, others may notice little to no change. Want the full review? Comment &quot;MOCKTAIL&quot; below.

   <media:description>Sleeping with the lights on could be putting more than your sleep at risk your heart too 💡❤️

A new study suggests exposure to artificial light at night while sleeping is linked to higher stress activity in the brain and inflammation in blood vessels. Over a 10-year period, researchers found 17% of participants developed major cardiovascular problems, with brighter nighttime light tied to higher risk.

Experts say darkness plays a key role in heart health. It helps release melatonin, lower blood pressure, and support deep, restorative sleep. Even low levels of ambient light—like nightlights or phone screens—can raise heart rate, disrupt sleep, and interfere with metabolism.

⚠️ The takeaway? Darker is better—and total darkness may be best. Doctors recommend blackout curtains, turning off nightlights, closing door gaps, or using a sleep mask to reduce light exposure at night.

   <media:description>We’ve seen the hype around vibration plates, but does the science actually back it up? ⤵️

👩‍⚕️ A quick medical reality check: More studies are needed to support the health claims surrounding vibration plates. There’s no proof that vibration plates can cure nerve damage or permanent regeneration.

However, research supports that adding vibration therapy to your routine may help:
🦴 Strengthen bones, mimicking the stress of exercise to maintain bone density
⚡️ Manage chronic pain by relaxing muscles and reducing joint swelling
💪 Boost strength and physical performance by forcing muscles to contract and adapt
📉 Promote weight loss, especially when combined with a balanced diet
