Job Description
Talentia currently supports over 100 clients using its IBMi platform. As part of our modernization initiative, we are transitioning our IBMi solutions to Skytap and cloud environments, while leveraging advanced tools like MIMIX and FalconStor for enhanced data replication, recovery, and storage management.
To lead this transformation and manage ongoing operations, we are seeking for someone who will oversee the modernization of the IBMi platform, manage its implementation on Skytap and cloud, and supervise a skilled team of experts.
The role is preferably based in Bari, Italy, with the possibility of being based in France.
Responsibilities
Modernization of IBMi Platforms
- Drive the transition and modernization of the IBMi platform to Skytap and cloud environments, integrating tools like MIMIX for real-time data replication and FalconStor for advanced storage and backup management.
Production Management
- Oversee and ensure the availability, performance, and security of the IBMi platform in both traditional and modernized environments.
Data Management with MIMIX and FalconStor
- Implement and manage MIMIX for seamless data replication and high availability.
- Utilize FalconStor to optimize storage, ensure robust backup solutions, and streamline disaster recovery processes.
Maintenance and Support
- Manage day-to-day operations, monitor system health, resolve incidents, and provide technical support for on-premises and cloud-hosted IBMi platforms.
Team Management
- Lead a team of technicians and engineers, fostering expertise in Skytap, MIMIX, FalconStor, and cloud technologies.
Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, leveraging modern cloud solutions and replication tools.
Compliance and Security
- Ensure all systems adhere to security standards and regulatory requirements, with a focus on protecting sensitive client data.
Cross-Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with development, customer support, and project management teams to ensure smooth implementation and reliable service delivery.
Desired Profile
Education
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in IT or equivalent experience.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in production management, with a strong track record in modernizing legacy platforms and managing advanced replication and storage solutions.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in IBM i (AS/400), including administration, maintenance, and support.
- Proficiency with Skytap, MIMIX, and FalconStor technologies.
- Extensive experience in production management, system optimization, and cloud integration.
- Solid understanding of databases, networks, and systems.
Managerial Skills
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing technical teams.
- Strong communication and problem-solving capabilities.

Summary
We are looking for an Azure Cloud Platform Engineer to help design, implement, and maintain cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Minimum Requirements:
- Cloud Architecture: Hands-on experience in designing and deploying Cloud-based solutions.
- Automation: Familiarity with automation and Cloud deployment tools (e.g. : ARM Templates, Ansible…).
- Security: Solid understanding of Azure security best practices (identity management, network security).
- Networking: Experience with Cloud Virtual Networks and VPNs.
- DevOps: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, ideally using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
- Programming: Ability to write basic scripts (e.g., PowerShell or Python).
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with ExpressRoute or equivalent networking solutions.
- Knowledge of Azure cost management and optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C# or Java.
