I recently paid a visit to a highly rated restaurant loved by celebrities and was treated like royalty.
Novikov can be found in Mayfair and has been visited by some huge names including Tom Holland and Zendaya.
The restaurant has both an Asian and Italian kitchen depending on what food you fancy at the time.
If you are looking for somewhere with a relaxing and intimate atmosphere for a celebratory meal, you might want to try out Novikov.

What was Novikov in Mayfair like?
After arriving at the restaurant, my friend and I were shown quickly to a table that was next to the open kitchen where you could watch the chefs cooking each dish with a surprisingly calm demeanour.
Next to the kitchen were rows of ingredients, including fresh fish that was taken directly from the baskets to make each dish, as it was ordered.
The restaurant had a relaxing atmosphere thanks to the low lighting and calming music, with each table perfectly set for the next guests.
We were then handed an almost overwhelmingly large menu packed with Asian dishes from sushi and fresh fish to noodles and fried rice.
With so much choice, it was hard to narrow down what we wanted to eat, and I think Novikov could benefit from a few set menus showcasing some of their best dishes to make it easier for guests.
However, our waiter Eduardo was on hand to help us create our own experience and went out of his way to pick out some of Novikov's standout dishes.
To drink, we had two cocktails, the French Royal and Yuzu Splash, that were both wonderfully presented and tasted very refreshing.
We started off with a few cold dishes, including the scallops and jalapeño sushi, seared salmon nigiri, and some salty edamame.
The Mizuna spicy tuna sushi stood out to me with its fresh-tasting chunks of tuna that paired well with the vegetables packed alongside it.
The Hamachi Carpaccio melted in my mouth, leaving a citrusy taste behind, and was generously topped with truffle.
Our table was never clear, as hot dishes soon followed, with us being presented with crispy rock shrimp tempura that came with a spicy mayonnaise that complemented it perfectly, and spicy prawn dumplings.
The wagyu tacos were a highlight for me thanks to the crunchy taco shell pairing well with the tender wagyu beef and a light guacamole.
Our mains consisted of incredibly flavourful prawn fried rice, tangy sweet and sour chicken, grilled asparagus, and the Novikov black cod.
The Novikov black cod was so flaky and fell apart as soon as I put my fork into it.
The cod tasted buttery and light, making it moreish to eat.
If you take a trip to Novikov, the fish dishes should be on your radar.
To finish off, I tried the mango tiramisu, which offered a fruity twist on the traditional Italian dessert.
The layers of sponge were soft and pillowy and were topped with a smooth cream with chunks of mango spread throughout.
The bitterness of the cocoa powder cut through the sweeter flavours, helping to create a balanced dish and the ideal end to my experience.
The staff at Novikov understood how to make each guest feel like royalty by checking up on them regularly without being overbearing and making sure everyone was pleased with their meals.
I enjoyed my experience at Novikov thanks to the brilliant staff that ran the restaurant like a well-oiled machine while making you feel welcomed.
Novikov might be worth a visit if you want to go somewhere for a special occasion where you are treated like the most important person in the room.
