The Lockwoods

Originally this was a Sims Lit page, but due to the EA buyout changes are now being made. The focus is still on the Lockwoods, but it's no longer set in the Sims' world, and any characters that were originally from the Sims will be changed. As a lot of work has already been done (I've been writing the Sims Lit for over a year now) this is going to take a little while. However there will be worldbuilding posts as this new world is created, alongside stories from earlier on in the timeline. Below is the original intro. Just over a year ago I came across my first Sims Lit. I've always been a writer, and this drew my interest in a way nothing had for some time. Although I wouldn't say it was a mistake, I've often found writing for others interesting, a lot of my creative energy was going into ghostwriting, which made writing for me a struggle. Sims Lit changed that, and I think it's, in part, because there's another element to it - creating the screenshots. So, I worked to create my first Sims, and I had an idea of where the story would go, leading me to the Lockwoods. I should have known better. Originally the part I started with was meant to be a short prologue. Then Titus happened. For those who've been reading already, either on Bluesky or at my website, I think that's understandable. His need for control even expands to this world, but where there's Titus there's Anne, with Anne being even more interesting than Titus. As this is just meant to be a quick intro (will I manage that?) I don't want to go into too much detail, so I'll focus on what I think are the most important elements of the story. Most importantly, this is a multiverse. There are alternate universes to the main arc universe. Our original Titus was born in 1991 (in their calendar, which started after magic came to the world), to Thaddeus Lockwood and Marion Tyrell, who called Glimmerbrook home. For them it's currently 2012. This Titus had an elder brother, Zachary, and a younger sister, Anne. He's trying to fulfil a promise he made lifetimes ago, something that ended up being far more complicated than he could possibly have imagined. Unlike him Anne knows nothing about that past, and that's how the story returned to 1814, in what was planned to be a short flashback. It became far longer, split into multiple arcs, and drew in characters I've absolutely fallen in love with. Each one of them will be continued, mostly because I want to see what happens next. However this does mean I've had to think about the best way to work this. Originally the queue set up worked fine. Now, though, it's four different arcs being written at the same time, which I think makes it confusing, and then there's the AUs at the website, including the side arc happening at the same time as this, showing another possibility. So, once this part is complete, I think what I'm going to do is have one arc as queues at Bluesky. This will be the 'main' arc. Other arcs will be posted in chapter format, with some starting off life as Patreon exclusives. For now, however, I have the four arcs continuing until the end of October, and then we'll be going back to 2012, to show what comes next. This will be the 'main' arc, posted in queues on Bluesky, while the other four (this includes the side arc) will be continued at the Lockwoods Tumblr. Patreon has become the home of the webnovel works for the Lockwoods, something that started very recently, but has been a nice change from the Sims Lit. All webnovels that aren't for the main arc are alternate universes. Until then I'll be around, but in a more limited fashion, so I won't be charging anything until probably the beginning of 2026, to give it some time to build up the arcs here.
