Top performers protect their time differently. Most of us lose precious hours to chaos and distraction. On the advice of my business coach, I did a time audit. What I learned changed everything. I tracked my hours for a week. Captured everything I spent time on. Now I’m working to eliminate, delegate, or automate everything that doesn’t move the needle. If you struggle to get the important things done, here are 12 productivity tools that actually work: 1. Timeboxing Divide your day into clear blocks. Give each block one purpose. Nothing else happens during that time. It's simple but powerful. 2. Pomodoro Technique 25 minutes of focus. 5-minute break. No compromise, no distractions. I was skeptical at first. Now I can't work without it. 3. Two-Minute Rule If something takes less than two minutes, do it now. Those small tasks pile up and drain your energy when ignored. 4. Kanban Board See your work move from "to-do" to "done." It's surprisingly motivating to watch progress happen visually. 5. 1-3-5 Rule Plan your day around: 1 big task 3 medium tasks 5 small tasks This creates balance and prevents overwhelm. 6. Eat the Frog Do your hardest task first thing. Everything else feels easier after that. 7. Flowtime Technique Work until your focus naturally fades. Take a short break. Learn your rhythm. 8. 80/20 Rule Focus on the vital 20% that creates 80% of your results. Be ruthless about cutting the rest. 9. Getting Things Done (GTD) Capture everything. Organize what matters. Let go of what doesn't. 10. Warren Buffett's 25/5 Rule List 25 goals. Circle your top 5. Ignore everything else. 11. Eisenhower Matrix Organize tasks by urgency and importance. It shows you what really needs your attention. 12. Task Batching Group similar work together. Your brain works better this way. The reality is simple: Time management isn't about squeezing more into your days. It's about making space for what matters most. Choose your minutes wisely. They become your life. ♻️ Find this helpful? Repost for your network. 📌 Follow Amy Gibson for practical leadership tips.

The value of Humans + AI collaboration in the real world: an academic study of 776 R&D professionals at Procter & Gamble revealed not just substantial performance gains from AI, but a host of other gains, including in emotional state. Some of the stand out insights from the research paper (link in comments): 🚀 AI + teams unlock top-tier innovation. Teams using AI were 9.2 percentage points more likely to produce top 10% solutions compared to the 5.8% baseline—making them about three times more likely to generate standout ideas. This effect was not seen for individuals using AI, highlighting a unique benefit in combining AI with human collaboration. ⏱️ AI makes work faster and more detailed. Individuals with AI completed their work 16.4% faster, and teams with AI were 12.7% faster than their non-AI counterparts. At the same time, AI-enabled groups produced significantly longer and more detailed solutions, with higher average quality scores. 🧩 AI dissolves functional silos. Without AI, Commercial and R&D professionals proposed solutions aligned with their functional backgrounds—market-oriented vs. technical. With AI, this gap disappeared: both groups generated more balanced ideas, regardless of their original specialization. This pattern held across individuals and teams. 📈 AI lifts less experienced employees to team-level performance. Employees whose core job did not include product development performed significantly worse in the control conditions. However, when these non-core employees worked with AI, their performance matched that of teams containing core-role employees. 😊 AI improves emotional states during work. Participants using AI reported significantly higher increases in positive emotions—such as excitement, energy, and enthusiasm—and lower increases in negative emotions like anxiety and frustration. Individuals with AI experienced a 0.457 standard deviation increase in positive emotions, and AI-enabled teams saw an even larger 0.635 boost. 🏢 AI challenges traditional assumptions about team structures. The study found that individuals with AI performed as well as human teams without AI, while AI-enabled teams were significantly more likely to produce top-decile solutions. The authors conclude that this challenges long-standing assumptions about the necessity and structure of collaboration. They suggest organizations may need to rethink how they compose teams and allocate expertise in an AI-integrated environment.

I see so many posts on LinkedIn along the lines of: “I tried ChatGPT, and honetsly, it didn’t make much difference for me—barely added anything to my productivity.” If that’s your takeaway, it’s time to rethink. The fact that AI doesn’t feel transformative to you? That’s not good news for you—or your industry. What you should be asking is this: “Is there already someone out there putting this to good use and achieving a level of productivity that I’ve never reached?” The real disruption happens when just a few people in your field start using AI effectively. Their productivity can shift industry standards, reshape career paths, and leave everyone else struggling to catch up, in just weeks. I see this firsthand. My AI team has completely changed how I work, amplifying my productivity in ways that would be impossible without them, so I have honored them with names from heroes from the past: • Goran, powered by Grammarly and Writesonic, manages my communications, drafting emails and reports with tailored tone adjustments that keep me on brand effortlessly. • Magnus, combining ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and NotebookLM, dives into complex analysis, organizes content, and delivers insights that drive strategy. My very own management consultant. • Annie, my content producer, turns ideas into compelling video, audio, and graphics, leveraging tools like Veed, Videoleap, Prome AI, MidJourney, and NotebookLM to keep content creation seamless. • Veronika, my executive assistant, keeps everything running smoothly by managing my calendar, booking meetings, and taking notes during hybrid sessions. • Kim, based on Gamma AI, builds presentations with precision, saving hours and ensuring every deck is polished. These aren’t just tools—they’re AI colleagues enabling me to work at a level that wasn’t possible before. They raise my bar for what’s achievable, driving new standards for speed, creativity, and quality. Gone are my days of burning the midnight oil aligning boxes and making powerpoints great at 02:30 the day before an important presentation. Gone are the days of sending your deck to a shared service center. Gone are the days of ”high hurdles” to get going on something new or difficult. AI isn’t about making everyone more productive. It’s about how exponential impact occurs when someone leverages it effectively. Leaders who recognize this will drive the future of work. Those who don’t the train is about to leave the station. Also, this is why the 2 most transformative and persistent structural changes continue to gain force within workplaces and offices: 1. Companies are doing more with less. 2. Distributed work is gaining traction. #FutureOfWork

Early Sunday mornings are usually my time I make space to think more deepy about few key areas. Today I looked at two things — global LNG market trends, and ADNOC Gas own market performance. For both, I used AI agents I’ve built in Copilot, where I’ve been feeding in analyst reports, market updates, and our own data (within secured platform). What used to take me hours is now done faster and with a wider perspective. But I never take it at face value — human judgment, context, and experience are still critical. For me, this is a real example of AI for People (one of ADNOC’s AI Strategy Pillars) in action: giving us tools that make us sharper and more efficient, while still relying on our own and expert’s judgment to make the right call. The second pillar is Energy for AI. AI itself is hugely energy-intensive, and data centers are only growing. Here, ADNOC Gas plays a central role: we already supply 60% of the UAE’s gas needs, and we’re investing to increase capacity by 30%. Supplying the energy that powers AI is part of our contribution to this transformation. Finally, there is AI for Energy — using AI to run our operations smarter, safer. This is where we’ve built focused programs across our business: Planningai, Operationsai, Maintenance/HSEai, and Corporateai. Two examples from ADNOC Gas show what this looks like in practice: • The Centralized Predictive Analytics Diagnostics CPAD system, which monitors more than 500 rotating machines to catch problems before they become failures, cutting costs and avoiding downtime. • The Neuron 5 platform, already running on 20% of our critical equipment, using deep learning on sensor data to predict maintenance needs. These are not Ideas or conepts — they are already part of daily operations, helping us improve efficiency, safety, and reliability. Step by step, this is how ADNOC Gas is becoming an AI-native company. Reuters events published special report on how ADNOC Group is embedding AI across its downstream operations worldwide to accelerate innovation and performance (report attached) What about you? How do you see AI being integrated into your life and the operations of your business? #AI #EnergyTransition #ADNOCGas #PredictiveMaintenance #OperationalExcellence

How AI Boosted Our Engineering Productivity by 18% in Just 30 Days 🚀 That’s exactly what we discovered during a recent pilot program at Cognism, where we tested AI-powered coding assistants. The results were too exciting not to share! Why We Tried AI Our engineering team is always looking for ways to work smarter. We introduced this AI tool with three goals in mind: ✅ Automate repetitive tasks ✅ Accelerate development cycles ✅ Empower our team to focus on innovation We gamified adoption by rewarding our early adopters who showed the greatest productivity gains—and their feedback was key in shaping the rollout. The Numbers Don’t Lie Here’s what the pilot achieved: 📈 31% more issues resolved—less time on repetitive work, more time on creative problem-solving. 🔗 21% more pull requests (PRs) merged—quicker features, faster deliverability. ⏱️ 3% faster PR cycle time—a small win that we know can grow. Overall, an 18% productivity boost for our engineering team. What We Learned 1️⃣ It’s not perfect yet. AI isn’t replacing human developers, but it’s transforming how we approach mundane tasks. 2️⃣ Focus matters. The real value is freeing up time for innovation—our developers can concentrate on solving complex challenges, not repetitive ones. 3️⃣ It’s just the beginning. As these tools evolve, the potential gains could be exponential. The tool we selected : www.cursor.com Please comment below with your own findings and tools you are testing.

AI isn't just a tool; it's becoming a teammate. A major field experiment with 776 professionals at Procter & Gamble, led by researchers from Harvard, Wharton, and Warwick, revealed something remarkable: Generative AI can replicate and even outperform human teamwork. Read the recently published paper here: In a real-world new product development challenge, professionals were assigned to one of four conditions: 1. Control Individuals without AI 2. Human Team R&D + Commercial without AI (+0.24 SD) 3. Individual + AI Working alone with GPT-4 (+0.37 SD) 4. AI-Augmented Team Human team + GPT-4 (+0.39 SD) Key findings: ⭐ Individuals with AI matched the output quality of traditional teams, with 16% less time spent. ⭐ AI helped non-experts perform like seasoned product developers. ⭐ It flattened functional silos: R&D and Commercial employees produced more balanced, cross-functional solutions. ⭐ It made work feel better: AI users reported higher excitement and energy and lower anxiety, even more so than many working in human-only teams. What does this mean for organizations? 💡 Rethink team structures. One AI-empowered individual can do the work of two and do it faster. 💡 Democratize expertise. AI is a boundary-spanning engine that reduces reliance on deep specialization. 💡 Invest in AI fluency. Prompting and AI collaboration skills are the new competitive edge. 💡 Double down on innovation. AI + team = highest chance of top-tier breakthrough ideas. This is not just productivity software. This is a redefinition of how work happens. AI is no longer the intern or the assistant. It’s showing up as a cybernetic teammate, enhancing performance, dissolving silos, and lifting morale. The future of work isn’t human vs. AI. The next step is human + AI + new ways of collaborating. Are you ready?

2024 is shaping up to be the year of AI agents. So, what exactly are they, and how do they differ from AI assistants? Let’s start with some context. When ChatGPT made its debut in 2022, it brought AI assistants into the mainstream. These assistants helped users through a back-and-forth process. For example, when using ChatGPT to write code, you’d ask for help, receive a snippet of code, implement it, and repeat until you had the solution. It’s a collaborative process where the AI assists, but the user does most of the planning and execution. Now, enter AI agents—a significant step up. Unlike assistants, AI agents take on much of the planning and execution for you. If you’re working on the same coding project, an AI agent doesn’t just give you pieces of code. Instead, it asks for your end goal—say, developing a financial planning app—and then takes it from there. It will draft a plan, get your approval, and start building everything needed to get the app up and running. That includes writing the code, installing the required software, setting up the database, integrating APIs, and even designing the user interface. It’s not just about helping you along the way; it’s focused on the final outcome. As we enter the world of AI agents, here are some key attributes to keep in mind: • AI agents start with the desired goal. • AI agents plan in advance and craft a multi-step approach. • AI agents leverage tools to get the job done. • AI agents can search the web. • AI agents are “self-healing” and troubleshoot themselves. • AI agents come back to the user (you) for feedback and, in some cases, additional help. • AI agents feel magical. The exciting part? You’re still interacting with AI agents through a familiar prompt-based interface, just like with assistants. But as these agents grow more sophisticated, prompt engineering will continue to be a crucial skill. The way work gets done is evolving rapidly, and AI agents are at the forefront of that shift.

AI Won Me Back 10 Hours a Week—Here’s How I used to spend hours on content creation—outlining, drafting, rewriting. Then I found a smarter way. AI didn’t replace me, but it made me 10x more efficient. Here’s how I use AI to work smarter, not harder: 1/ Idea Generation ↳ Instead of staring at a blank page, I ask AI for 10 content ideas ↳ Instantly get fresh angles I hadn’t considered ↳ Saves me at least two hours every week 2/ Drafting Smarter ↳ AI helps me structure posts—hooks, bullet points, clear takeaways ↳ Speeds up the writing process, but I always refine for my own voice 3/ Research Without the Rabbit Hole ↳ Need a quick summary of an industry trend? AI condenses research for me ↳ Still verify key details, but saves me digging through 10+ articles 4/ AI for Engagement ↳ Helps brainstorm thoughtful responses to DMs and comments ↳ I personalize everything, but AI gives me a strong starting point 5/ Repurposing Content in Minutes ↳ Turn a long-form post into tweets, LinkedIn updates, and even scripts ↳ Content works harder for me, not the other way around AI isn’t magic, but when used right, it’s a time machine. How do you use AI to get more done? ♻️ Repost if this resonates. 👉 Follow Stephanie Nyarko PMP, CSPO, ACP for more. 🔔

Most people think every task deserves them. They're wrong I met an entrepreneur who was always overloaded. He said: "I never have enough time to get everything done." The reason he felt this way was: He had no clear plan or strategy to manage his time effectively. Even though he was highly skilled and motivated. He couldn’t figure out how to balance his workload, but knew he needed to find a solution fast. Sadly, I wasn’t surprised. But I told him with the right tactics, he could master his time. It didn’t matter how many tasks he had. Here’s what he did: Plan to Win, Every Day He ended each day by setting three top priorities for the next day.   This way, he avoided decision fatigue and started each morning with a clear focus. Automate the Everyday   He used AI tools to handle scheduling, routine emails, and admin tasks. Automation worked while he slept, freeing up his brain for more important work. Build an Ironclad Focus Fortress He blocked out “deep work” hours with no interruptions. His team and clients respected these windows, boosting his productivity. Optimize Your Energy, Not Just Your Time He aligned his tasks with his natural energy levels. Creative work during peak times, repetitive tasks during low-energy periods. This helped him achieve more without burning out. The Snap Decision Rule He handled small tasks immediately if they took two minutes or less. This kept his mind clear and maintained momentum on bigger goals. Decide What Deserves You He filtered his to-do list daily:   - Does this contribute to my growth?   - Can it be delegated or dropped?   By eliminating low-impact tasks, he focused on what truly mattered. The Distraction-Free Zone   He unplugged for at least an hour each day.   No emails, no calls, no scrolling.   This time was for creative thinking and strategic planning.   Silence became his tool for clarity and innovation. Months went by: And he transformed his business. He mastered his time and achieved remarkable results. So here’s my take: Every overloaded entrepreneur can find time mastery. With the right tactics, you can focus on what truly matters. And achieve more than you ever thought possible.
