That’s a wrap on this year’s Security Industry Association (SIA) AcceleRISE! ⭐ Two of HID’s own led engaging sessions during the conference, including Jeremy Fromm’s “Cyber 101 for the Physical Security Professional” and Liz Ingerson’s panel on “Mentorship, Sponsorship, and the Power of Being Seen”. Stasia Matyjas also attended with HID, and highlighted her experience as one focused on connection and career growth. “One of the highlights of AcceleRISE for me has been connecting with people in completely different roles across the security industry... even though we all work in the same industry, our roles shape what we take out of each session and it has been valuable to hear other perspectives. I think the conversations have opened up new ways of thinking about topics like ethical leadership, the role of technical knowledge, building trust and navigating mentorship and sponsorship.” Thank you to our attendees for continuing to help shape the future of security, and thank you to SIA RISE for another great year!

My first acceleRISE, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. A perfectly curated mix of inspiring speakers, insightful workshops, and engaging networking. I’m truly grateful to have a space where aspiring leaders can connect, brainstorm, and form meaningful relationships. James Marcella and I had a great time debating at the Security Industry Association (SIA) SIA RISE #acceleRISE 2026 conference. Topic: Do you need to have technical expertise to lead in the security industry? The topic wasn’t the main learning point. The young professionals in the audience watched James and I present, use critical thinking, conduct research, use data to support our “side”. They watched us show respect to one another. Hear out each others ideas and defend a position professionally. Later on in the evening, James and I joined forces for trivia night on the same team. #security #debate #SIA #speaker

SIA RISE 's AcceleRISE this past week in San Diego was a hit!   It was my first time attending the event with my colleague Stephanie Galland, MBA, and I would highly recommend it! I came out of it with compelling insights surrounding the security industry, technology, mentorship, and leading with empathy. Not to mention a whole lot of new connections! It was great catching up with new and familiar faces.   Navigating a new career or industry can be tough, but events like these help build the confidence and community needed to excel as a young professional.   Thanks to Telaeris, Inc. CEO DAVID CARTA, Inc. for supporting our development and the opportunity to attend, and thanks to the SIA RISE team for a fantastic event!

The first week of August is always very special to me. AcceleRISE turned 8 this week and each year there are so many new faces, new friendships, new connections, and new lessons learned. I had never planned a conference before AcceleRISE and I lovingly refer to it as my baby. It takes a village to raise and create something like this and the stars must have and continue to align because all of the right people continue to ask to be a part of it. There isn't enough LinkedIn space to tag the hundreds of people who have created this experience but I will highlight a few that made this year all that it was. Kelly Ann Christensen and Joey Joy. You are incredible leaders and you set such a positive and safe space for people to learn and grow. Constantine Tremouliaris your creativity and excitement have led to many many changes over the years that make this continuously better. The RISE Steering Committee as a whole loves this event so much that their DNA is in every session, activity, marketing promo, and small detail. The Security Industry Association (SIA) fosters and promotes this growth with vigor and will forever stand at the forefront of prioritizing young diverse talent and I am proud to have been a part of this for 8 years.
