In drug discovery, the biggest AI model isn't always the best scientist. At Tata Consultancy Services, we explored how a domain-tuned molecular intelligence model built on NVIDIA Nemotron 3.5 Lightning can improve molecular understanding and structural fidelity in Life Sciences research. Key results: • 80% accuracy on a molecular structure benchmark • 47% reduction in structure-reading errors • Better detection of chemically invalid inputs • Stronger understanding of key molecular features Why it matters: even a single molecular interpretation error can lead to weeks of unnecessary experimentation. Improving accuracy early in the discovery process helps researchers make better decisions, faster. The takeaway? In highly specialized domains, #AI success is not just about bigger models. It's about combining advanced AI with deep domain expertise. ⏳ T-Minus 11 Days Until #WorldEntrepreneursDay This month, we’re sharing the stories that inspired founders to take on the world's greatest challenges... Years ago, Elad Walach's aunt was rushed to the ER after a car accident. Doctors mistakenly assumed a spinal injury, performed an unnecessary operation, and she tragically never recovered. Diagnostic errors impact about 900,000 Americans a year, a problem Elad became determined to solve. He co-founded Aidoc to use AI to improve every healthcare encounter, reduce clinician stress, and cut delays for patients. If AI catches what might otherwise be missed, that raises the standard of care for everyone. 💡 Elad’s advice to founders: “Technology is the ‘easy’ part. The hard part is building partnerships inside the system that can genuinely change how care is delivered.”

Pre-registration for the 2026 Virtual Cell Challenge opens today. Start building your team and say hello in our Discord. The full competition launches August 20. https://lnkd.in/dx82kttF This year we’re setting a more difficult task than 2025. Competitors will predict, on a zero-shot basis, how multiple cell lines respond to specified gene knockdowns. Predictions will be scored against new experimental perturbation data we’ve created from those cell lines. Inspired by CASP, the goal of the Challenge is to advance the virtual cell modeling field and create common, community-wide benchmarks for these tools. Thanks to NVIDIA/NVIDIA Healthcare, 10x Genomics, and Ultima Genomics for sponsoring once again. We can’t wait to see who signs up.
