Harnessing the power of collaboration to impact the global supply chain.
About us
The Supply Chain Resource Cooperative (SCRC) is where talented students, world-class faculty and executive advisors team up with companies and organizations across the diverse supply chain to solve the industry’s most pressing issues. Our students work alongside industry experts, gaining hands-on experience that positions them for job placement opportunities. Our faculty secure research and consulting opportunities with business partners; they stay in touch with what’s happening outside the classroom and bring that knowledge back to their curriculum. Our business partners gain engaged students working on their toughest problems, and a strong connection to talented future recruits.

The Supply Chain Club was excited to host Bandwidth and Cisco at our club meeting on Wednesday 2/4! Lauren Tilley, Global Sourcing and Vender Manager at Bandwidth, kicked off the meeting by sharing insight into Bandwidth’s supply chain and her day to day responsibilities. She also provided valuable details on sourcing strategies and negotiations. In the second half of the meeting Alejandro Fernandez, Compute Planning Fulfilment Director, and Annie Rasheva, Global Supply Chain and Emerging Talent Lead at Cisco, described Cisco’s end to end supply chain and highlighted current employment opportunities. A big thank you to our incredible speakers for sharing their expertise, and to all of our members who attended and engaged in the discussion!

Hosted in partnership with the Department of Information Technology, Analytics, and Operations, and held on the Thursday before our career and internship fair, this event focuses specifically on our supply chain/operations and business analytics students. This is a great opportunity to market your company brand and speak with our undergraduate students about internships and jobs. The fair is also open to Jenkins graduate students. https://lnkd.in/eikKPz8A

NC State Supply Chain reposted this
This past week, I had the chance to attend the 7th Annual Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence Foundation (WISE) Future Leaders Symposium at the University of Arkansas representing NC State Poole College of Management and NC State Supply Chain. Thanks to Dr. Stephanie Thomas and my professor Dr Brian Brosnan, I was able to step into a space filled with inspiring professionals from companies like Sysco, Toyota, Deloitte, H-E-B, Uber Freight, and many other industry giants. What stood out to me most wasn’t just the technical knowledge, but the reminder that growth means balancing both our careers and our personal lives. As Shelley Simpson , President & CEO of J.B. Hunt Transport, shared during the opening: “We are just getting started.” A simple but powerful mindset to keep pushing at each milestone without ever stopping. I also gained valuable perspectives on personal development from Jessica Gambhir (Toyota), Megan Shea (BSNF Railway), and Fatima Treto (The Clorox company), who emphasized setting boundaries and managing personal time as we move forward in our careers. Alongside my teammates Libby Brewer,Karla Velasquez, Gangothri Kashipura Mallikarjun (GK), and I walked away with new insights on the future of supply chain and how we can be ready for it. Some of my biggest takeaways: - Hot topics shaping SCM: automation, e-commerce, AI - The power of intentional connections and networking - Crafting a personal mission statement to guide decisions - Interview and recruiting insights to help stand out - Keeping up with SCM news with Supply Chain Now Once again thank you for inviting us Dr Stephanie Thomas and hope you keep inspiring more people in the supply chain industry!!

We kicked off our first club meeting on August 27th with an amazing turnout! Thank you to everyone who joined us! A special thank you to our wonderful speakers: Firstly, Linda Brown shared information about the IBM Pathfinder Mentoring Program, a fantastic opportunity for students to connect with mentors. Afterwards, Dawson Duguid, an NC State Alum, shared his personal journey through the Pathfinder Mentoring Program and his early career experience at IBM. Dupre Jones, wrapped up the meeting with valuable insight into the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) and the benefits that a membership offers students. If you missed this meeting, don’t worry! There are plenty more coming up. Our next meeting is Career Fair Prep, happening tonight, 9/10 at 6 PM in Nelson 1120. We’d love to see you there!
