We spend all year planning for surprises, but this one caught us completely off guard. We’re honored to be named the inaugural GBTA | Global Business Travel Association Committee of the Year. This doesn’t happen without an incredible community willing to volunteer its expertise, engage with our work, and invest in moving our profession forward. This year, the Global Risk Committee looked ahead with our 2026 Risk Outlook, developed practical guidance to help organizations navigate the evolving conflict in the Middle East, and brought conversations to every region that shared practical solutions, and pushed travel risk management forward. This recognition belongs to every committee member and every GBTA member who has attended a session, read a publication, and joined the discussion. Your engagement is what makes this committee relevant. As the first committee to receive this award, we’re energized to keep raising the bar and giving our members practical resources they can put to work. Thank you, GBTA, for this recognition. MISSION To educate and collaborate with GBTA membership on the importance of integrating travel risk management into their global travel and meetings programs. OBJECTIVES Collect, maintain, and disseminate data and information pertaining to travel risk management. Collaborate and support GBTA membership and our global committees. Provide resources, guidance and expertise to facilitate the creation and development of travel risk management programs for GBTA membership. Educate and promote best practices in support of the health and safety of travelers.
