Our team had the privilege of providing special inspection and verification services for architectural energy code compliance on the Midwestern University Student Housing – Phase 6 project. The development consisted of eight two-story residential buildings, each containing 32 units. Construction observations began prior to placement of the concrete floor slabs and continued through completion of the building envelope, including installation of the roofing and Exterior Insulation and Finish System (EIFS). The inspections verified compliance with the applicable energy code requirements related to the building envelope, helping minimize air leakage, water intrusion, and thermal infiltration to improve the long-term performance and energy efficiency of the buildings. 👉 See the project progress from the very beginning of construction through completion and experience how these buildings came together from the ground up.
