ARRAY and TICRA Tools 26.0: A New Phase in Antenna Design


We started 2026 with an important milestone at TICRA: the release of TICRA Tools 26.0

As part of TICRA Tools 26.0, we have also introduced ARRAY, dedicated software for the analysis and optimisation of finite phased-array antennas. This is the most significant addition to our software portfolio in many years and reflects the increasing complexity of modern antenna systems.

The strong interest in ARRAY is already clear, with close to 400 views of our webinar on the topic the day before the commercial release, along with a high level of questions and discussion from attendees during the session.

More importantly, this is only the beginning. We have a strong roadmap ahead, with further developments planned across our software and continued efforts to work more closely with our customers, collaborators, and the wider antenna community.

We are also exploring how artificial intelligence, improved user experience, and more integrated design approaches can support future developments in electromagnetic simulation. At the same time, we continue to strengthen our work across both space and defence, where the need for reliable and efficient simulation remains central.

We will also be attending the Space Symposium this week as part of the Danish pavilion and look forward to meeting customers and partners who will be there.

We look forward to continuing this work throughout 2026 and to staying closely connected with the communities and sectors we support.

TICRA Tools and ARRAY

The release of TICRA Tools 26.0 introduces a range of improvements across our software, supporting more efficient workflows and the design and analysis of increasingly complex antenna systems.

A central part of this release is the commercial introduction of ARRAY, our new software for phased-array antenna design, analysis, and optimisation. ARRAY supports efficient analysis of large arrays while accounting for coupling effects and system-level behaviour.

Alongside ARRAY, TICRA Tools 26.0 includes updates across the software portfolio, improving modelling workflows, handling of complex geometries, and overall efficiency in engineering workflows.

AI in Engineering 

In our latest blog, we look at how machine learning can be integrated with electromagnetic simulation as part of emerging approaches within scientific machine learning. The focus is on how data-driven methods can support selected parts of the simulation workflow, particularly when exploring large design spaces or evaluating trade-offs.

In this context, machine learning can help reduce the time needed to explore design alternatives, while physics-based models continue to provide the accuracy and reliability required for engineering decisions.

Webinars: From Portfolio Overview to Phased-Array Design 

During March, we hosted our first webinars on TICRA Tools and ARRAY, focusing on practical workflows and real engineering use cases.

The TICRA Tools webinar gave an overview of how the different software products work together across the antenna design process — from early trade-off studies to high-accuracy analysis and optimisation.

The ARRAY webinar provided a first in-depth look at TICRA’s new software for phased-array design and optimisation. Both webinars saw strong participation and a high level of interaction from attendees.

Where to Meet TICRA in 2026

19-24 APR 2026 - The next major event will be EuCAP 2026 in Dublin, where you can meet the TICRA team at Booth 24+26.


During the week, TICRA will contribute across several parts of the programme, including a technical workshop and presentations covering topics such as phased-array design, radar cross section (RCS) reduction, and AI-driven antenna modelling.

We look forward to engaging with the antenna community throughout the event.
